Assuming that chart is real please explain exactly the point you are trying to prove with it and don' forget that country GDP is a strng function of population so obviously the US started from zero late as it was an empty continent compared with China, India etc. (GOOD luck)

Quite a few major assumptions here. Actually I don't live off anyone else. I have a high paying job and yes we pay high taxes for the social benefits. Certainly paid in more than taken out. If there were real facts there wouldnt be such differing opinions.

Didn't you read what I wrote. I have lived in those countries. I know the arguments and I lived in those places so actually experienced them. I don't need random blokes you picked to support your point of view telling me what it is like to live there. If you are very rich the US is better but...

Think your mixing up socialism and communism here. For socialism look at Scandinavian. We are suffering with high GDP, 'free' education, health care etc, max working hours, min vacation (not sure if it is 4 or 5 weeks but I get 6 weeks plus national days), 18 months per kid paid leave etc :)...

Folks the title is "Bitcoin price thread" not I hate bitcoin because.... or i will not use it because.... or other coins are better because.... Now that the futures have started is there anything else planned over next month for bitcoin ? Regulators, software etc which could change the price.

Maybe it is a big bubble based on nothing, maybe in 50 years bitcoin, or something like it will be the global currency. It is not obvious which way it will go, but it has a great sales pitch and I yeah i think it will go higher ;)

I am only in it to make money not for moral reasons or to change the world :) Since I've been selling a few on way up if it goes to zero tomorrow I will still have doubled original investment since late summer. 80% ish crash now gets back to remaining holding starting price.

As long as it has a use e.g. large payments, store of wealth, speculative instrument, drug dealers stash, whatever.... and people want to own it I dont see it really matters if the original intended use, goals and aims change over the years. As Hoi indicated they can change it if the community...
