    Six Steps to Better Trading

Trade on. Long @ 1049.0; Stop: 1046.0. This is an overnight trade that I expect to continue into the 1080's. Stop will be adjusted as bars are completed. http://www.sierrachart.com/userimages/upload_2/1257366973_32_UploadImage.png

    Six Steps to Better Trading

Here's another potential Trader Trick entry on the 7.5 pt. Range Bar chart. The Top of the potential signal bar has been taken out and you could have gone long at that point. However, to reduce potential losses (but possibly miss the move), you could wait until prices retract back to 1049.0...

How to research and verify trading ideas

Just curious, talon, why do you trade all of these things? If a person could, for example, trade the ES profitably on a daytrade basis, why would they 'over-extend' (if that's the right word), themselves by scattering their attention with other instruments? Hope your thread accomplishes...

    Six Steps to Better Trading

It hit my stop at 1035.0. I might have been the only fill; it never traded @ 1035.25 before hitting the double bottom at 1026.0. Good trade; I see 2-4 trader trick entries a week on the 7.5 pt. range bar during RTH.

    Six Steps to Better Trading

You must of "hit" it just AFTER I got filled !! Just caught your comment (told you I'm slow) about the MA. Actually I don't really see those lines on the chart; same thing for the RSI. They're there and I suppose my sub-concious sees them but I'm not aware of them for the most part. Still...

    Six Steps to Better Trading

I'm an old man; you slow down when you get old. Just curious, how much does .04 ticks in NZD/JPY make and how much does .07 ticks in AUD/USD make? I've traded futures on the Yen and Euro but never studed/traded pairs.

    Six Steps to Better Trading

I don't know if you are referring to my chart but the chart was posted in fairly real-time. The trade was executed before I went out to learn how to post it. Doesn't matter: my account is 11 pts. higher and guaranteed to net 7.0 pts. if the 1035.0 gets hit. All of this while you guys are...

    Six Steps to Better Trading

I 'know' from putiing in somewhere between 5000 to 6000 HOURS of screen time. (I really don't "KNOW"; it is a probability bet). Joe does not reference Range Bars either: I adopted that concept for myself. That speaks to the universal character of 'charts' whether they are Time, Volume or...

I don't recall him ever referencing Fibs. http://www.sierrachart.com/userimages/upload_2/1257184426_73_UploadImage.png Move Stop to 1035.0, the top of the last bar.

    Six Steps to Better Trading

Read Joe Ross's Law of Charts and Trader Trick entry flr complete details. Their free. Basically it is your standard 'sell the pullback in a downtrend.' The 3rd bar from the left side of the chart represents the end of the pullback move; the 'Signal' bar. When its bottom is taken out it is...

Here's a Joes Ross Trader Trick entry: http://www.sierrachart.com/userimages/upload_2/1257182357_14_UploadImage.png (This is my first time to try a screen Upload from Sierra Charts). This is a 7.5 point Range Bar. Short at 1042.0; Stop @ 1047.50

    Six Steps to Better Trading

What's original about the ideas that ANY of us have !?! There's nothing new under the sun. You are correct: Joe says the same things about entries & exits, money management, and discipline as every other trader. That is because they true. I'm not say that I trade his methods but his...

    Six Steps to Better Trading

Joe Ross emphasizes the importance of money management and emotional discipline just as much as he speaks about entries and exits. I do not understand why people have to come and bash the man for his original post. They did no harm and you can read them and move on if you like. I don't know...

CIT bankrupt- did i miss this?

Damn. Week before last I saw that Icahn was investing 6 billion in CIT so I picked up 1000 shares at $1.20. Was going to add on another 1000 at $.60 but then on Friday I got a message from IB that CIT trading was halted. Guess that's a $1,200 donation.

The Governments Great Track Record of Providing Healthcare

You might 'serious' but you are certainly 'seriously delusional'. Where do you even come up with bullshit like this !?!?! I've kept up with the issue fairly closely and have NEVER heard anything like mentioned. It is ALL made up, in your mind. Why don't you try to deal with the FACTS and...

The sad truth about trading is

Do you think you could write something up for trading the ES? I'm striving to get 5 pts. per day, preferably in 3 trades or less. I'll supply the cocktail napkin(s) AND give you 10% of profits in first year. No bullshit.

    The "Rapture"

Vhehn, we could only HOPE that the ratio of Christians to atheists becomes 70/30. We aren't even close to those numbers. At best, 10% of the world's population is "atheist". i suspect the number is even loweer in the US. BTW, neither Christians nor atheists abort 'babies': you abort a fetus.
