Divergence Traders - When to Enter

Quote from dbphoenix: That's not too much different from my entry (explained earlier in the thread). Do you have a provision for immediate re-entry, or do you wait for a new setup? Edit: I should have checked your chart first as I would not have entered there, but my question is still...

Divergence Traders - When to Enter

I place a market order as soon as price makes a higher high, or lower low, and stochastic looks good for a setup.

Best timeframes for daytrading the ES.

Probably, if you ran a poll it would be 3 minute or 210 Tick.

Actually, that was a convergence. The way to interpret this is: Look at the blue lines. If you were to extend the lines to infinity, they will eventually converge, and so makes a valid signal. Now, notice the green lines. If they were extended to infinity, that would not converge, so this...

    Ensign for IB-datafeed

Yeah, after 133 ticks a new bar begins. In a fast market, I might get 3 or 4 bars in one minute. In a slow market, I might only get 1 bar in 2 or 3 minutes.

    Ensign for IB-datafeed

I've been using it for the last couple of days, now. I only trade the ES, so this is great. Saves me $75 a month in data fees from eSignal (if you pay by the month for their basic package). Here's todays ES chart if you want to compare. You're right, you don't get as many ticks as you do...

Are pivots useful ? a statistical response

BTW...for those of you still pulling out your hair trying to figure out why Funkys spreadsheet and the calculator didn't match, I figured it out. Seems the calculator is screwed up. What it's showing as R3 and S3 is actually R4 and S4. So, the calculator doesn't show R3 and S3. Here's the proof...

Divergence Traders - When to Enter

About 10 years ago I had the privilege of being tutored by Mr. George Lane, whom many consider to be the authority on Stochastics. As we were trading one day, we got into a discussion about the entry. Basically, he said...just go. In other words, I don't wait for a confirmation. If I see...

    I found the Holy Grail

I'm not asking you to believe me, and I don't care if you believe me. I gave a quote from one of the most respected traders of our time and posted a screenshot of how it worked nicely today. You can take it or leave it...

    I found the Holy Grail

Personally, I don't believe the markets are random. Why?...because the markets are made by people and people are predictable. I don't believe every trade has a 33% chance of being successful. Here's a quote from Trader Vic on an observation he made concerning the S&P open. "If there is...

    Walter Bressert

I bought his book Power of Oscillator/Cycle Combinations a few years ago. Not a bad read... I just never really got into cycles, though. I'm sure in the proper hands they can be beneficial.
