This and Hakon's problems reminds of my suggestion a couple of posts ago that proven (just 1-2) indicators would be a very helpful,
indeed.
In addition every market is different obviously.
And looking at the daily data only is not sufficient either...

You are welcome.
Let's talk about the indicators for the various EFTs and their underlyings, distinguishing between daily and intra day timeframes.
A vital point imho.
Not necessarily a Sunday question. :p

Well, i like to consider %% & %%%,as you hint,

What do you mean by watching a list.:p
There must be a bit more in order to make up your mind. So far the
50 MA fails to start heading south - the other ones short codes I don't know in order to compair.
Am I right in presuming that you take the underlying index's daily chart to decide...
Thanks
that's what I expected more or less.
I presume trading these EFTS via Interactive Broker is not possible.
Any suggestions what to use instead?
Yes I know there are enough brokers around. That exactly is the problem imho.
Regards,
choose 3x (300%) or -3x (300% of inverse), and pick what you feel is best. When doing your analysis you need to analyse the equivalent index and not the ETF IMO. This is because the ETF move more in a logarithmic trend so it`s difficult to draw the trend lines.
Note that I`m also new to this...
Haha, good guess :) Maybe you know the name HÃ¥kon?
Thanks, you`ll nearly allways find equivalents in short. I seem to only spot the ProShares ones when I try to find something interesting, but I also know of iShares. [/B]
Yes Sir - I know your king's (or his son) first name therefore...
Getting access to 3x leverage ETFs are one of the strongest reasons for me to trade the US markets instead of my home market. Seeing UPRO, and URTY gaining respectively 65% and 87% since the last adjustment in February is just amazing. I got lazy and focused more on my day job so I didn`t get to...
According to a study in Europe people are said to lie up to 200 times - PER DAY - on average.
And that's only Western Europe to the best of my knowledge.

PS.: ""Are there more USEFUL indicators like the NYSE50dayMA?""
Add. question: who supplies the data - could it be loaded into

Are there more USEFUL indicators like the NYSE50dayMA?
I could not find yet the page where their list of special market breadth indicators is.

I wonder why TYH responds 3 times to the underlying sector - have not heard that before?
Does this only apply to TYH or to more/or all ETFs?
Thanks again.

After going thru this crap for years, I now disbelieve almost everything I see, and build my own methods, testing them till the cows come home. My batting average for the last 20 trades is 95% wins. Long term average (years) is just below 85%.
There ain't no free lunch, just a lot of...
