    I agree that on the chart functionality it is better to support IB platform with a better supplier of charts - provider of that you can find also in your origin country i guess. an excellent support software for trading and price confirmation is Bookmap.

    there is no delay. I also was concerned about it and checked it out. the bid and offer I see on level 2 in IB is the same that appear on Bookmap. the advantage in Bookmap is that you can which beads and offers stay and which not in a more clearer look.

    I'm in IB also, and i used the level 2 data, but after I found Bookmap I can see the depth of the market better and the real intentions of the buyers and sellers.

    I used to trade by time based charts and volume charts also (along with other oscillators) and it was not easy, especially for knowing when to take profit or when to put stop orders. Bookmap heatmap gives me more clarity with that, and I don't think I can get back to bare again.

    Trend lines can be very useful, but not always work. It is better to take more signals to support the trend lines like the Bookmap heat map that can validate the trend.

    It is a better way to look at the order flow then the classic DOM, because it shows also the historical orders and requests do one, with studying of course, can get a better sence of how the price will move. The lines in the different colors show the past orders.

    The transparency I get from Bookmap is one the I didn't got from any other platform or from any technical analysis, it virtues are good especially for new traders, regardless to any financial stake.

    My favorite is obviously Bokkmap, because it is easy to use. It shows the high liquidity areas and the direction of the aggressors- basically allows to understand the movement of a stock.
