    E-mini Rookie Trading Journal

i can't see the big difficulty about those exits. just use a predetermined trailing stop (x points from peak profit) - and that's it. so where's the point? the right entry is by far the more important part. if your entry is screwed - the entire trade might be screwed right from the start.

    Technical Analysis and Common Sense

just few last things to fundamentals (if you allow): many years ago (actually this was my second trade ever i think) i bought stocks from a pretty small but very fine company that i always liked somehow. bought a few shares but didn't know what to expect and to be honest - i had no clue about...

    Technical Analysis and Common Sense

i think i would. why not invest based on tech. analysis? buy when market is in uptrend - set stop loss - wait. price action over everything else. what benefits do you have of excellent fundamentals if the market (stock) is in a longterm downtrend and you bought just because of those fundamentals...

they keep telling this nonsense for more than 2 1/2 years now. because they want people to buy / stay in - come what may. don't be a victim of those bandits. you think after 28 months decline - everything will be fine after one big up-day? we've had a lot of days like yesterday in the last few...

if you try to make it all back very quickly you probably lose even more. the "need to make it back" is one of a trader's greatest enemy - i would say.

How much should I be earning

don't you think it's rather problematic to compare %-returns? say you trade one mini contract and make $1,000/month. with a small acount of $5K this would be 20%. if you don't want to have such high leverage and use a $10K account - you have 10%. so i guess its somehow senseless to have...

    General: Eminis vs. stocks

i know - volume in es has always been higher than nq's. but as far as i watched it - it increased tremendously in the last few weeks. maybe because the sp500 has just started it's selloff.

    General: Eminis vs. stocks

ok friends - this might be a dumb question - but does anybody have an idea why the es recently has about three times the volume of the nq (or even more)? lately we saw days where the es traded about 1 million contracts - really impressive. any thoughts?
