    Keeping an open mind

Assuming you have a winning system, no opinion is not only correct, but essential to extraordinary success.

    The Stochastic Indicator

Personally I find an indicator(s) extremely helpful in confirming an entrance or exit when used along with the chart pattern. Divergences may be the most helpful and significant use of indicators, be it sto, macd, rsi, or your favorite. I find they all do about the same thing in their own...

How do you know if your method is right? How do you know if TA is valid?

I think this may be more important than all the debate about cause & effect, etc. Does it work realtime???? Back testing is excellent for a system that is 100% automated as long it is tested over a significant time period that includes many different types of market environments. If...

    You're Invited

I am both relieved and thankful to finally be past my initial problems in launching this "look on" program. After resolving a few unanticipated communication problems and making minor changes in how viewers handle the signals, it seems to almost be back to business as usual. I suspect we'll be...

I USE REGULAR JUNO ON MY 2ND PC AND IT'S BEEN VERY RELIABLE FOR RUNNING MY CHARTS - COST 9.95/MTH

    not exiting losers on stops

I think it is very dangerous to trade without a stop and rely on your ability to "know" when a trade is failing. It is best if your system has "rules" for determining a failing trade, as mine does. Then the "early exit" is not really early, just part of the system. Many trades look as if...

Yes and yes. PM me if you want to watch one.

    You're Invited

I do not profess to have the Holy Grail, only something that works exceptionally well for me. 1. The "modifications" I spoke of related to my ability to transmit the signals in a timely fashion while trading my account. Especially when the price was moving fast. It had nothing to do with...

    Elliott Wave: Wave 5?

Interesting question. I would think this is applicable to everything in life. I becomes "so" when enough people agree it is "so". But is it "really so"??

    PM *pop* or poop??

I am extremely thankful that the system I follow never "looks" for anything like a pop or a poop! Actually the only "hard" part is avoiding my mind interfering with it's "expectations". It just generates buys or sells that produces about 62% winners. And to answer that age old question...

    You're Invited

I promised to let you how the 1st month of the "experiment" went. It was tough getting used to being on view, and also tough handling my trades while sending the IM's, so I stopped trading $ for about a week after the bad 1st few days. Modified things a bit and got back in stride the last 8...

Is reality concrete or abstract ?

I'd like to add that my "perceived reality" of trading is that it is the most profitable, enjoyable and prdictable way to generate inomce. Though the concepts (our indivualized "realities") about trading are not concrete, the income sure is for those who have a useful set of abstract...

Is reality concrete or abstract ?

Reality is concrete. However, we (with the possible exception of those few "enlightened beings") NEVER experience "REALITY". Instead we experience "our" perceived reality which becomes our individualized reality and, therefore, abstract. If ever we learn to keep our mind in the...

Trading properly is SATISFYING & RELAXING

I suspect that if you find trading "psychologically painful" one or more of the following is missing from your trading: 1. A well tested productive system with clearly defined rules. 2. Absolute faith and trust in that system. 3. Absolute adherence to the system.

Trading properly is SATISFYING & RELAXING

It may be that I find trading as relaxing and satisfying as I do because my system has no "homework". It is based solely on current price action. So I can tune in anytime, scan the prior hour or so quickly and be set to enter a trade when signaled.

Trading properly is SATISFYING & RELAXING

After looking over the "Is good trading boring?" thread I felt this might be an appropriate survey. I find there are few situations in life where the gratification comes as quickly as when trading well. It is the "perfect" place to exercise self mastery and make money at the same time. In...

    is good trading boring?

There are few situations in life where the gratification comes as quickly as when trading well. It is the "perfect" place to exercise self mastery and make money at the same time. In addition, there is NO stress or "decision making" in following the exact rules of a system. Therefore...
