You people who complain about the CME, the floor traders, etc. are dead wrong. You think they intentionally shut down their most lucrative product for a day? You show em, go trade eurex or whatever, feed the foreign exchanges. What a bunch of fools you are.
Always found pit trading pretty easy to get a feel for what was going on or about to. Noise level, desk activity, everything you heard or felt really. Kind of a time and sales window all around you. Could not have cared less about who was doing what, saw too many big houses and big players...
Pit trading is 10 times easier than screen trading, having done both for years. Trading venues other than the NYSE will surge for the next few years now that the world is coming to know the garbage that goes on at the NYSE with specialists. I expect the tip of the iceberg has been revealed which...
Find out if your SSF is cash settlement or delivery on expiration date. If cash, you pay or get paid and, if delivery, you own them if long or must deliver them if short.
Regarding ERTS, here is what I meant. I had alert set at yest high, 59.6, was on my watch list when that was hit. Ran right to 59.9 or so first 5 minutes on one candle, second candle stalled short of 60 resistance on lesser volume. third candle made no new high, became a short under low of...
Opinions will get you nowhere for the next couple years. Glad to see "traders" still have them which means someone will be fighting every market move. If I hear one more analyst say "looking forward", I'm going to be sick.
Traded futures this week, decided to give it a try for a week and forget about individual stocks. Yikes, I'm happy and so is my accountant. Can't figure why I ever wasted my time with stocks. Talk about liquid, tight markets and tradable charts. I'll never go back.
I have pairs in several sectors, and trade them mainly intraday. KLAC-QLGC-MXIM, AMGN-IDPH-CEPH, MSFT-ERTS-INTU, my favorite triangles. I have parameters at what I consider extremes.

I apologize for the "idiot" statement. I thought my question was pretty straightforward, why was my order rejected? I haven't traded relatively new issue stocks before and it popped up on my scan.
Anyway, life is to short to engage in saying anything derogatory about anybody...

Exactly what does worm trade mean ? Do you have any answer to my question or are you just one of those idiots who clutter this place with stupid statements.
Have tried trading the new CME stock several times, but my orders send me a message,"rejected by clerk". Can't be traded or are there restrictions I'm not aware of on such activity?
Thanks
I don't know if this helps, but I had similar problems with layouts I had spread out over multiple monitors that I had messed up. I simply keep my layouts under multiple names so if I mess one up I just reopen the same layout, which I have saved under a different name, and create another duplicate.
