    Check this guy out

No, he doesn't teach you to trade, more like he teaches what to watch for without making predictions. I've watched all his vids - he has great info.

    Trading Earnings/ News

I agree! Regardless, the unknowing traders will still take the chance imo. Plenty of times (not always) when the news gets bought, it gets bought when stock is at or near support which often means that the rumor was sold. Check out the after hours news action vs where the stocks closed...

    black monday?

Well thanks! This board can test ones character! Initially, the opening post was only about the month of march. I've been in this for only about 10 years - still studying and learning every day. One thing for sure in out of the handful of full time traders I know personally, the best...

    Trading Earnings/ News

When it comes to trading earnings / news, "Buy the rumor, sell the news" is the #1 Stock Market Axiom of all time - and this axiom is what this posting is all about. The inverse is also true, namely, "Sell the rumor, buy the news". The reality is that these axioms are, in my opinion...

    black monday?

Dude, only need to go back maybe 4 weeks or so. Otherwise, if you'd like to see something bearish, check out the double top on this baby! http://stockcharts.com/charts/historical/spx1960.html Going back to the beginning is like trying to predict what new technologies will arise in 10...

    Awesome trading tutorial ! ! ! !

This guy just gave me the go ahead to post this. He does not make predictions - rather, after +15 years trading experience, he teaches you what to watch for - for free on YouTube! Just check out at least a few of his vids and decide for yourself - either way, the 4 to 9 minutes you spend...

2/27/08 - YOU tell us if this is a bullish snapshot in time

No, it is not bullish, but we really have not gone up a whole lot either. THAT *could* be viewed as bearish. I reference the old Market axiom: "Buy the rumor, sell the news" also works, "sell the rumor, buy the news." What I am saying is, it is quite possible that the levels we are at...

How to make $$ in this market

You and me both. My initial post was only tongue-in-cheek. Sideways market driving many folks crazy - especially long term holders. These days, long term might be two days, provided you got a good entry. Sideways frustrates everyone I think.

    Aftermarket trading disaster?

I hear ya! My particular case may have been a glitch in IB at the time - don't know. Those prices might not be bone fide - all I know is don't ever test it with your money lol And don't ever hit the wrong button. lol That would totally suck! That would be worse than the guy in that...

    Aftermarket trading disaster?

They are real prices all right. It happened to me during market hours back in 2000/2001 some time - I wasn't aware my order hit. A few weeks prior, I had set a limit buy GTC order, only 100 shares on a low volume stock a few bucks under ticker - can't remember which stock, but it hit and...

How to make $$ in this market

You're insulted? LMAO How about posting something worth reading, like...... How do YOU trade a sideways market?

    Aftermarket trading disaster?

LMAO - I never thought of that - but - I would guess that if you "made the mistake", you would be screwed for sure. The thing to do, is enter a limit order one penny above the low bid and one penny below the high ask- if someone else screws up, you'll win lol

    The business of Trading

I'm no lawyer but I believe the benefit of incorporating is mainly to separate your private assets from your corporate assets. IOW, they can sue your corp, but not you. Your case might be different, but most folks do not need to incorporate.
