    Accountant for upstart CPO/CTA

Point well taken. Thank you. Do you think it would be reasonable - and/or closer to industry standard - to at least have a firm set everything up and then have them become more involved after the first outside client becomes involved?

    Accountant for upstart CPO/CTA

We're forming a new CPO for futures and in need of a competent accounting firm. We're going to start with my seed capital and probably not accept outside funds for at least a year, but we want to start an audible performance trail and need an accounting group which has experience in this area...

How many daytraders are there worldwide ?

I once heard that there are about 300,000 in the United States. I'll presume that this number includes guys like myself who aim to slow things down a bit and only end up entering/exiting the same position once or twice a week. If you just look at the account assets of the top 10 discount...

    Any prop firms hiring?

Thanks, I've read the thread (which too some time!), but I think - as many do - sometimes it helps to bite the coin to make sure it's genuine.

Could you offer some feed back (positive/neutral/negative) on your work with Wayne. PM me if you like. Thanks, Red

during the day "Run to the bank to wire funds into your account" you ever do?

I have wired in because I WANTED more cash to enter new positions, but never been against the wall so bad that I needed to spend milk money.

    Pre-earnings straddle/strangle

Whatever you do I would do something which is long cheap gamma, as theta neutral as possible, short vol, and flat delta ATM.

What can go wrong with this trade?

Front month Vol is always the most reactive. If you are wanting to be Vol Neutral, you'll need more longs than shorts. Do a weighted vega - this will be difficult because the front month is really a month of its own, little correlation to any other month. I would only make this trade if...

    Joking?

Does anyone use Richard Dennis's Turtle Trading techniques?

You must be joking. Micro-Cap... is that like a night cap? Nice try.

Does anyone use Richard Dennis's Turtle Trading techniques?

Do you think that if one just slows down the Donchian channel that they will regain the original value of the indicator. I don't think that chartist and technicians are any more able today to change the fundamental direction of the trading vehicles than they were 20-30 years back. The...

    Tos - Prodigio

Talked to Prodigio folks. As previously mentioned, the software is in a beta form. Should be ready for live trading by late June. Apparently they shut down the wizard lab for maintenance occasionally as well.

For me it's primarily been back testing on the Wizard tool. (I'm not much further into their program). Some days the back testing capability works great, others not at all, it just sits and spins. I tried to understand if there was a variable which causes this either in my computer system...

    Tos - Prodigio

The most difficult thing at the moment for a programmer is that the software does not offer enough feedback for one to know if the problem is with their faulty programing and use of the software or if its something wrong with their servers.

    Tos - Prodigio

Ok Good to know it's nothing on my end. Who are you going to for assistance with the software? It's noted that there are very few materials to reference from the designers, so are you contacting these Mpowertrading people or using TOS's technical help? Have you found any other online groups...

    Tos - Prodigio

Speaking of which, and a problem I run into frequently, and again this evening - sometimes the backtesting tool works well and other times it fails to give a result. For instance, I was using it to backtest a mean revision program I'm writing yesterday. It was returning the results without...

    Tos - Prodigio

I found the same thing. I think the core of the program, or perhaps what we're able to upload into their servers is probably quite solid. Unfortunately, the interface we work with to create the automation seems a bit buggy. It's difficult to understand your real value at risk at certain...

Greetings. I'm look for reviews, shared experiences, feedback, trading ideas, and basic commentary from ThinkorSwim's Prodigio users. I've just began using the software and would like to begin and participate in a discussion as I enter into its use. Best, Red
