    Premium Sellers vs. Option Buyers

Don't see it, I'll just post in the forum: I've been following a few of your threads, and it sounds like you're managing a shop which has a familiarity with options. I mostly trade with volatility and skew driven plays, term structure, long and short gamma, and occasionally some second order...

    Bread & Butter Iron Condors

Yeah,,, crack safari. Anyhow, stops are fine for the risk management of unexpected events or market moves, but generally they are a poor replacement for an otherwise dynamic decision set which is the result of market condition analysis. Lots of literature has been written othe high cost of...

    Prop Firm vs. Portfolio Margin

I trade options, and which this sometimes requires using an underlying equity or futures vehicle, I think the biggest reason for option traders to jump into prop is market or capital access.

    MatLab to Interactive Brokers

All, Looking for some community feedback. Has anyone been using the IB-Matlab software from Undocumented MatLab? I'm searching for a solution to be able to execute directly from my MatLab logic. Goal would be to use an outside data vendor and then send the orders into Interactive Brokers...

    Algorithmic trending strategies

I would guess that most which are based on TA will break even at best. Use a single simple TA tool and it'll be priced out of the market, use a combination of complicated tools and you'll be forced to fit to something, and probably experience waves of great profit and loss. I think if you...

Support Code Logic for Automated Quant Trading

Thanks for the feedback. You rightly touched on my purpose, I'm thinking of switching from IB to a DMA setup, and I don't want to end up in a 'naked' situation where I don't know what I don't know about how the broker has been providing for my orders in the past.
