    pacific trading academy???

No but they won't stop calling my phone. I'm normally suspicious of things in 'money land' where they call you to tell you something where you weren't already intending to purchase.

Thanks Shadow, as a TOS customer, I enjoyed your presentation.

    options mentoring

Lol, that's very interesting. I think that most traders secretly want to be on a SWAT team... Thank you for your service. You're absolutely correct, it is not uncommon for me to backtest/back trade an idea from 2001-2008, or even 1996-2008. There is no substitute for "practicing a trade"...

Right, trading is like any small business - your success is made by a number of decisions exhibiting excellent judgement while operating under multiple variables and constrained information about future expectations.

I guess I should have answered your question...lol. Yeah, I trade every month, and have positions on at nearly all times, so I'm comfortable with the craziness. Understand, that unlike a directional futures market, for instance, the options market will pay you more for your negative gamma...

    options mentoring

I have found that being a professional trader is similar to being a professional salesman whereas your final results are about 60% dependent on your action and 40% dependent on the product you're selling/trading. I think this is the same for myself. Its difficult to make money in a crazy...

I'm a current student in the Sheridan program. I've been trading ever since I got out of college a few years back, but it was this mentoring course which really organized my objectives in order to derive a majority of my income from trading. Best, Redeye

    Good option trading software needed?

I would stay away form OptionVue, its quite a disappointment. Additionally I think the TOS system will soon offer a comparable back trading set up.

I would be interested in a similar thing in the Midwest. I don't mind if the shop needs a deposit, but I'm more interested in getting some companions in my work and moving bigger positions through the system. If I find anything on my own I'll pass it along.

More Risky: Small Business Owner or Trader

As a business operator in Michigan - one thing a trader can do is better control his TAXES! God help you if you're an unfortunate business model which the local government deems to be more taxable, or under-taxed. Trading allows you the flexibility to possibly 'choose' among possible tax...

    tradestation v. tos

Well, OptionVue6 is out now, and I can't say that its overly impressive. I'll grab the free trial, but not expecting much. The 411 on TOS says that they are going to have some amazing back testing software coming up in FEB 09, so I think I'll hold out for the free stuff.

Anybody know anything about TD's back trading features, specifically for equity options? I'm currently on OptionVue and its the most disgraceful bit of programming I've ever paid 3K for! Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it as TOS's back-trading is still lacking.

More Risky: Small Business Owner or Trader

The biggest problem for just about every small business is volume. You can have the best product or service in the world, but you'll always fight market size. Even large firms fight their market size, drug companies can't make more people have AIDS, for instance. The markets liquidity is...
