LOL. This is just a temporary office at home though. Untill I find a good space where I can work with 5 traders. And it'll be fully equipped with every thing I can think of. LOL. Sometimes you just need to reward yourself, right! LOL.

When did you leave the merc then? I heard from a guy who works there, he's been one of the biggest there since Lewis left. Lewis got banned cuz of illegal trading? Good trading to you too! -SL.

    floor squawk box?

I'm sorry, I forgot to tell which one I'm using. I'm using the www.tradersaudio.com squawkbox. They quote bid/ask, tell you whether merrill, goldman, chicorp or other paper is buying or selling or whether it's a local or a group of locals pushing lower or bidding it up. He tells you what size...

    floor squawk box?

That is BS. All the big players are still in the pit. Of course there's more volume on the screen. But that doesn't mean the pit has got no influence anymore. Last fed meeting, there was a big move down, then a retracement. AFter that retracement, Borsellino (the biggest local in S&P pit)...

I gotcha. No I understand you can't send a 30k market order to the specialist on GYI. You wanna get screwed if you do that, I guess. But if there's a bid on 15k for example. And I send a 10k market sell order to the specialist. Will I get filled on the bid, or would i get filled under it. -SL

UPS for example. A couple days ago. That was pretty volatile. Or GYI or GM etc.. Those are the ones I'd trade. -SL

I trade the heavy volume gappers. So there's some more volatility there. -SL

    NYSE executions

Let me tell you one thing. I gave up my job for trading about 2,5 years ago. And am now trading fulltime. I only had 8 losing days so far this year. And am making a lot of money. So don't tell me to stick to a dayjob, because I don't know the ins and outs on NYSE. That's why I'm asking people to...

Hi bdon, thanks for you reply. What exactly do you mean with a non sho stock and a sho stock? Another question. When you send an order to the specialist, can you still cancel it then? -SL
