    Question about bankruptcy

This probably depends on the firm, but the ones where you need to put in a capital contribution really do not care about a BK. It's your own money your losing.

    Forex auto-ex?

The FX market is more liquid normally than any other market, but even the actual FX Spot (Interbank) market thins out right before major economic releases and events. No one wants their orders sitting out there during potential 100+ pip moves. So how would these retail FX dealers be covering...

    Anyone trading Eurex on Monday?

Yeah me too. I really like the realtime Liffe platform that the CBOT switched to. It's much better than the 1.7 sec netting that the Eurex has. But I still think that competition is a good thing as long as it doesn't screw up the liquidity.

Are you sure they will not re-quote, even if you're hitting the trade right when the number comes across the bloomberg screen? They would be taking very big potential hits on a consistent basis on these trades if taking the other side of your order. And I don't know how the hell they would...

    Forex auto-ex?

What do you mean by moments? Are you talking about like less than a second after the release of the numbers on a Bloomberg terminal or are you talking about a few seconds later, after the initial upward move has already occurred?

    Anyone trading Eurex on Monday?

Yep, that would be horrible. I really hope that having the products listed on two exchanges does not screw up the liquidity or the way these products trade. But, I'm all for lower fees. I also like the realtime Liffe platform that the CBOT has now much better than the netting that the Eurex...

What other reason could there be that short term intraday traders pay for Bloomberg service? Figure it out. :)

Anybody trading at Houston VelocityFutures office?

Why not come out to Chicago? There are plenty of firms out here. I'm sure you will find a deal that you like better out here.

    UK Scalpers

Yeah I hear you. If you sold the unemployment number there is no way in hell you could've gotten out when nonfarm hit. Good luck on Friday.

    UK Scalpers

Ouch! How did you lose on that nonfarm? It was such a blowout number, 1K. Did you accidentally hit the wrong side?

High Pings & Latencies in Day Trading?

Excuse my ignorance, but is a direct T-1 the same as a point to point T-1 connection? How is that priced? Does price increase with distance? For example would it cost more for a direct T-1 from overseas to Chicago or even just CA to Chicago than it would from NY to Chicago?
