Yeah it's a good combo.....AB's charting is excellent imho although it doesn't do a great job with PnF or other alternative type charting.

The two I use are Amibroker and Tradersstudio. I use AB for quick prototyping, and then TS for more detailed reporting.

Just my opinion, but you might want to take a look at Amibroker. It has most of what you're looking for - the backtesting performance is well beyond what I have experienced with most of the other platforms you mention, and it can deal with real-time data.

It's an old saying, but real estate is all local. Which is to say that different parts of the country will bottom at different times. In CA, I could easily see waiting till 2010. Elsewhere, well, your mileage may vary.

For options, there's really no competition between the two - ToS wins with their incredible option tools. So if you need tools, ToS is the winner. MB provides no tools, but offers more flexible pricing for commissions. I trade pretty frequently, so MB is better for me. Also, I used Amibroker...

Haven't seen much in terms of comments on the new version of Wealth-lab. I just downloaded a trial and was rather underwhelmed - seems like the same program but now with a more complex language and slower execution, but I was curious if there were other opinions out there. Thanks!

MBTrading - it's not perfect, but for diversification it works for me. They have similar commission structures which was important to me.
