    SOFR bois?

kind of...green 3m calendars (short front/long back) as well as short 6m midcurve butterflies. At first glance these seem to be the most stable spreads without too many jumps in this environment. Plus as time passes and rates don't change they should improve by dropping down the curve...

    Dusting off my LEAPs again...

you're digging yourself a hole of complexity my friend. Shorting downside convexity to fund a losing trade? That could be right out of the movie Dumb and Dumber. You're wrong. The trade didn't play out and the stock sucks. Cut the loss and forget about it.

Derivatives - Option Market - Put and call

The answers given are all wrong. A covered sale can only be calls in this case since a put sale would be uncovered unless the shares were shorted. Purchase of 10.000 stocks @ 30 -> called away @ 33 = 30.000 profit + 2000 call premium (as you already calculated) = 32.000 total profit. It...

    SOFR bois?

damn...it's been over a decade since I traded rates and wandered off to exotic BS markets so I feel like starting from zero. Right now it's just an execution game for me while I'm re-reading Stigum's Money Market :D I find it kinda funny that CME uses A Algo with top order allocation for SR3s...

    SOFR bois?

That's what I was thinking....there is literally no other choice. I was just wondering why the volume/OI is so small comared to Eurodollars. We've left ZIRP for the first time in ages and everyone and their mom is all over rates right now. Not that I'm complaining. It's a good market for...

    SOFR bois?

Hi guys, anybody else trading this stuff? I traded Eurodollars quite heavily over a decade ago before ZIRP destroyed the volatility. SOFR is basically the same stuff: Scalping for ticks by transferring liquidity along the curve. Since most other markets are pretty much dead right now I dabbled...

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

Look...I believe you're a good person but I have to try really hard right now not to flip my table when reading your bullshit. So here's one last attempt to get this incredibly stupid mindset out of your head. After that, you're on your own, oke? 1kg of apples costs 5$ on average in the US...

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

ok, so there's a true price that you would like to pay and every deviation from that price is illegal and fraudulent. To me that sounds you're not the competition but the perfect customer...so well behaved. Let me know when you want to trade. I'll be more than happy to quote true prices to you.

    Retail broker largest selection? (FI)

For stuff like MBS, IRS, etc. you'd need an ISDA agreement. These are traded OTC institution vs. institution. Treasury, Corporate, Muni and Agency are the games available to retail. It hurts to say that but IB might be the best bet here.

Why are there illegal option orders in the orderbook?

Is this some clown shit troll post???? If you want to sell a put struck at 5$ for 6$, well, go ahead and type in that order. Unless you're a market maker obliged to fulfill min spreads and quote uptime, you can do whatever you want. If the other guy does that trade with you he's an idiot but...

How many years to get pro

I did, but I got the first gig with a track record. No Ivy League degree, no connections and no engineer or math wiz. So I had to deliver results first.

How many years to get pro

10.000 hours, man...it's 10.000 hours as always. 3-6 months to build discipline and follow a trading plan? I hope this is a joke. I'm trading for almost 20 years now, it took me 5 to become green without a mentor and I've yet to see anyone to become profitable with less than 1 year in. That...
