    Help with Risk Reward

Your trading style does matter. I'm always looking to build positions that can move on the multi-day timeframe (using options) because that is where the massive moves can happen. This is especially true since last year.

This is Not a stock market, its a casino

Fixed: "The market has turned into a casino!" Seriously, this is the time to make $ so go get it. We'll return to the boring algo market soon enough.

IB is posting you on the exchange that gives themselves the largest rebate. Stop using their Smart router for posting, only use it for taking. Post up on an exchange that's cheap to take and you won't see this happening so much.

Blast from the past, why are we looking at 14 years ago?

    2021 Trading Competition

I think that is the case too, can't find info on the site. It would be fun to participate as I would be one of the leaders right now, but I'm not sure what the benefit would be without a need for self-promotion. A cash prize would be more interesting.

I haven't had a losing year in 23 years of full time trading. You can have your opinions, I'll keep mine.

    Help with Risk Reward

You and I have very different ideas about what it means to trade successfully. You seem to think there are black and white rules, but for me trading is an art form. I'm constantly adjusting to market conditions without set rules, just experience to guide. Here's today, obviously my methods work.

    Help with Risk Reward

    1. Big swings are multi-day (ideally 2-4 days). I've had a number of six-figure trades the past year in that timeframe. 3. By setting targets I mean at least having some idea of where to exit a winner so you aren't left holding the bag. 4. As a manual trader, there is nothing for me to...

Had some fun with Tradervue stats

Ehh sort of but not really. I do use it for bets on a breakdown with the 0DTE but as you can see that bet hasn't paid off. I often use QQQ for the long side after breakdowns, and that bet worked much better.

Super easy to upload, I couldn't believe it actually worked the first time. For each broker there are specific instructions.

Had some fun with Tradervue stats

I've never really paid much attention to stats, but I discovered Tradervue this week and it was fun to dig down. Here are the broad strokes...I blocked some of the dollar amounts for privacy. Just thought you guys would think it was interesting. Some obvious improvements are trading less...

Consistency or one time large profit?

Getting rich slow is great for the low vol years, but in this market swinging for the fences is rewarded. Make hay while the sun shines.

Why did GME drop from 344 to 198 in a few minutes today?

I was actually responding to the other guy, so we can be done with this discussion.

Why did GME drop from 344 to 198 in a few minutes today?

I calculate shares that trade at the bid/offer, you are seeing all the volume in the spread. Volume at the bid/offer is what moves stocks and shows how aggressive buyers and sellers are while volume in the spread tells you very little. Think about it logically, we have now seen 3 recent...
