Depends on what you are looking for, but From what i noticed its hard to beat dell laptops for price/performance when they have sales. Usually dell has really good deals on laptops every 3 months are so. I bought a e1505 with T7200 coreduo2 and all the top upgrades for about $1000 a few months ago.

Any nvidia 7800 with dual dvi should be able to handle 2 24" monitors without any problems. most of these cards run for low 200's to $300. If you want cheaper cards than that try the nvidea 6800 series as some of them come with dual dvi's which can handle the high resolution

I cant believe people are spending 30k to learn the basics. Better if using the money in trading and learning from mistakes. 30k is too much money to learn the basics. Seems like investools is the latest fad for the lazy. I guess people got tired of trend trading to win and optionetics.
