I was just thinking about this today... Osama being captured might cause a lock limit up market, but at least there would be sellers at that level and I could cover. A nuclear attack on america that decimates new york city would cause a lock limit down market that would have no buyers for many...

I really knocked the cover off the ball with this trade... short since yesterday, looking at a 200+ point gain now. Will cover at 9600.

Paper trading the DOW cash index since May 8th, I am up $2870. 18 trades in total.

If I had been long sept 11th it would have hurt. My strategy in that case would be to have sold as soon as possible. So while I would have been hurt on the way down, I still would have made money on the way back up. I would definitely categorize myself as a swing trader. Todays trades...

How come you can be successful but newcomers can't? If one puts in the research and exhaustive testing, the edge should shift from the house shouldn't it? thereuare: I think if you are swing trading (multi-day timeframe) the index, then the futures will mimic the cash index close enough...
