broker that allows multiple stop orders

It's true that OANDA doesn't have OCO. But you can have limit orders set at any price, above or below current price. At the same time, you can also set the take profit and/or stop loss. At OANDA, the limit order is triggered when the limit price is touched, from above or below.

Cost of Carry - How difficult to hold long term?

Misread your post. If you were holding USDCAD short since Dec, then you should have earned many pips in the daily swaps, not paying them.

Cost of Carry - How difficult to hold long term?

I don't think swaps are 5 pips a day. I haven't had a USDCAD long overnight for a while. The last time was January, the swap then was less than 0.9 pip a day.

Pring's Book: Technical Analysis Explained - Any good?

Which of Schwager's books are you referring to? I got his first ever book plus the 2 Wizards books. There is so much in the Complete Guide to Futures Markets that I never actually read the whole thing. Seems like too many authors have joined the a-book-a-month club. I never bother with...

Pring's Book: Technical Analysis Explained - Any good?

The third edition of this book was the first book I bought years ago. I consider it a classic.

    Best Futures Books???

One book I like is Jack D. Schwager's "A Complete Guide to the Future Markets: Fundamental Analysis, Technical Analysis, Trading, Spreads, and Options." Not sure if it is still in print. It came out in '84.

    Did shortboy.com bite the dust?

I have no ideas who shortboy is or was. The only reason I am reading this thread is the thread title caught my attention. Is his website still up? I just might wander over and have a look.

    Forex trading with Oanda

The Olsen Group (formerly Olsen & Associates) has been around many years. That's more than I can say about most online FX firms. Do your own research before opening an account with any firm.

    Forex trading with Oanda

Lots of traders at OANDA have withdrawn money without any problems, some on a regular basis such as monthly. For myself, I withdrew my initial deposit after having the account for 3 or 4 months and currently trade with the profits and interest earned. The money I withdrew was in my bank...

    Forex trading with Oanda

OANDA is the best place for small FX traders. They have no standard lot size of 100,000 units or mini lot size. You can trade one USD, EUR, AUD, etc. if you want. For small or inexpericend traders, you can try your strategies or whatever with small trading accounts without losing your...

No, with FXTrade you can have 20:1 or 30:1 only. In the past, you have to email them to get 30:1. Now it is self-serve by using an online form.

    Forex...

I trade around the clock. I have the trading platform up 24/5 at home or at the office. At the office, the trading platform is on a second computer on my desk so I can keep an eye on the market. At home, I like to be at the desk for about an hour or 2 when a regional market opens or closes...

    ANNOUNCING ECHOfutures

Prior to this ECHO announcement, I was considering trading e-minis with Advanced Futures where they charge $2.45 plus $0.50 per side using J-Trader. Can anyone explain how this J-Trader works? Is it done over the internet by connecting to ECHO's or Advanced's server?
