Interesting journal. I too am following the HSI/MSI futures to get a better feel for how to trade it. Currently using IB + amibroker + ninja trader (in simulation mode).

Just use the standalone TWS version. Instead of your normal login enter user edemo, password demouser. This works fine for me.

Is the base time interval for your database also set to 15min? I'm not sure, but it might help.

Go to configure hotkey, then select customize tab. Check box 'transmit order instaneously'. Done.

The problem is that the IB datafeed doesn't support backfill, so you always have to be logged on when using the IB feed... I think they will support multi days charts in the future -- 2 days for free users, 5 for registered.

There doesn't appear to be any high/low/volume information in TWS for the MHI (mini hang seng). Does this need to be enabled somewhere for this exchange? I get globex volume info OK.

I have tried QuoteTracker and IB together for charting ES and NQ, and it works. In the past, there were problems getting the correct volume data, but it's OK now.

Yes, you can use myTrack with AmiBroker. ES from myTrack via AB would also be 55$/month. (+ one-time only AB s/w fee) As for myTrack datafeed performance, it seems similar to IB, although I have yet to start trading much and haven't really been paying very close attention... Depending on...
