Wireless Networks... How Big a Security Risk?

Please re-read my OP. I am talking specifically about hacking a WPA, particularly WPA2, network. Since I can type in Google keywords with the best of them, please provide a single link that talks even in general terms about remotely hacking a WPA2 network with a 16-character or longer...

Wireless Networks... How Big a Security Risk?

Have to disagree. I am no expert, but researched this when I set up my simple little WPA2 network. Even the weaker WPA-PSK (pre-shared key) mode is vulnerable only to a brute force attack. (We are talking about remote hacking only... let's ignore a Watergate-style break-in, a laptop theft...

    Le tour de France

acronym, who / what are you talking about? The 2006 Tour winner, Floyd Landis, is not Italian. Synthetic testosterone is not an asthma med... Landis doesn't have asthma. It's not like this has been a major ongoing story in pro cycling over the last year... Also, Landis has...

    Prop firms - Chicago

alex104, it's bad form to start 2 threads with the same question within an hour. Have to agree with Bogan7, it took me literally seconds to do a useful search (key words - Chicago prop futures). Start here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=91433 Babak has...

    Yen carry trade

What's stopping you is a margin call. Try it on a demo even with 100:1 leverage and see how many hours or days at most your yen carry trade lasts, i.e. avoids a margin call. At that kind of leverage, the premium to hedge with options would kill any "arbitrage" many times over.

Our prayers answered, at last. Thank heavens!

    Borrowing Capital

"CC loan" stands for "credit card loan". If your FICA score is really "very good" (care to quote a number?), why would your credit card issuer charge you "25% APR" on cash advances? As already suggested, maybe you should get a different, non-usurious card. That can't be hard...

    Faker point average?

"Manually compute every time"? What is this, an Abbott and Costello routine? Maybe you should click on your own handle and take a look for yourself.

    Faker point average?

 So, you disagree that we already have it. OK. How exactly is what we have different than what you're proposing? Your proposal: As opposed to what we have: Profile For Bogan7 Search for all posts by this user. Date Registered: 08-22-06 Status: <font...

    Faker point average?

Average posts per day is already a part of of our profile next to the number of posts figure. No need to divide anything to get a "rough" figure. :) Here's a completely random example: Profile For Bogan7 Search for all posts by this user. Date Registered: 08-22-06 Status...

    The best hedge fund ever?

What CTA? They are not registered with NFA: http://www.nfa.futures.org/BasicNet/SearchResults.aspx?type=firm&firm=TRENDINVESTOR None of this smells right. Not the way they solicit investors. Not those performance tables, with hypothetical compounding of "reinvested profits" to the moon.

    The best hedge fund ever?

I wouldn't be surprised if whatever AUM they've got is mostly retail, low 6-figure ($100K min) accounts. No sane institutional money would ever touch these guys. One word: drawdowns. They are grossly over-leveraged for a fund. Take a look at the year 2000 (+9.11%) and their self-reported...

    Renaissance to launch new fund

Interesting news, but that paragraph is rubbish. It's no news to most that managed futures is a very broad Alternative Assets category, not a " type of HF strategy". And arbing "tiny price differences" has nothing to do with anything being discussed. LOL. Surprising to see such gross...
