Is This A Valid Work Around for the $10,000,000 Limitation of Turbotax?

There is a limit of $10,000,000 I can input into investment proceeds and costs in Turbotax. I found someone online mentioning this workaround (I don't know if I should share links here so I am attaching the screenshot). The tax will be the same. Will IRS have problem with this method? Thanks.

Do I Need to Report/Pay Taxes on Noncovered Securities in Box X?

I noticed that there was a section in my 1099 called "Noncovered Securities - Summary" where there was a Proceeds number but no costs (screenshot below). It appears that it's for some Box X in 8949 but when I checked my 8949, there was no such section. When I import the TXF into Turbotax I...

Singapore Resident Trading Stocks Full-Time as Only Source of Income, Taxable?

Singapore Resident Trading Stocks Full-Time as Only Source of Income, Taxable?

I am a full-time trader (in my personal accounts) trading stocks and futures listed on the exchanges in the US. Trading profits (price gains and dividends) are my main source of income. I trade frequently, with about thirty trades a day. My holding times are generally less than a month. Are my...

More “Exponential” Exponential Moving Average in Excel?

The link you provided is for calculating the standard EMA, which is the same as the first formula in my original post. I am looking for an EMA that is even more "exponential", i.e even higher weight to the recent values.

More “Exponential” Exponential Moving Average in Excel?

I have been calculating exponential moving averages in Excel using a formula I found on the Internet EMA=(2/(N+1))*Spot+(1-(2/(N+1)))*Previous EMA), copied and pasted down the column. Can anyone provide a formula to calculate an EMA in Excel that's more "exponential", i.e. even heavier...

Is there a list of fixed income ETFs without 30% withholding taxes for non-US citizens?

This is not correct. I just got off the phone with IB representative and they said taxes were withheld by IB, not the ETF administrator.

Is there a list of fixed income ETFs without 30% withholding taxes for non-US citizens?

Which IB report showed that they actually withheld 5% instead of 30%? Did you verify the number with IB? Or did you just guess that IB complied with the ETF prospectus?

Is there a list of fixed income ETFs without 30% withholding taxes for non-US citizens?

How did you know that you actually paid total 5% tax on dividends on IB? nkass above said that IB charged him 30% on interest dividend, which was in line with my observation. My 1042-S report from IB shows 30% withheld even though I had submitted W-8BEN.

Is there a list of fixed income ETFs without 30% withholding taxes for non-US citizens?

Sorry, this is not what I was asking. I wanted to know where you found out how much exactly IB had withheld for a ticker. I need to verify whether IB actually withheld less than 30% for some tickers. Thank you.

Is there a list of fixed income ETFs without 30% withholding taxes for non-US citizens?

I have already filled out W-8BEN. May I know where you can find these detailed percentages withheld for individual tickers? Is it some report on Account Management? Thank you very much.

Have you figured it out with IB? It seemed to me that IB withheld full 30% on these ETFs.

Are there Counties/Regions with 0% Capital Gain Tax Trading US Stocks and a Tax Treaty with US?

Is there a contribution limit to the account? If not, I assume most Swedish people would put all their investment money into such accounts, right? In the US, people can put very little money into a tax advantage account if income is higher than a threshold.

Are there Counties/Regions with 0% Capital Gain Tax Trading US Stocks and a Tax Treaty with US?

Does ISK allow using margins and trading futures? In the US, tax free accounts do not allow leverage or derivatives. Thanks.
