Very nicely explained, ProfLogic. I agree 100% - ethanol is bullshit, it's all about wind and solar if you want long-term sustainability. Another issue with ethanol is unfair government subsidies to corn producers - but I'm sure you know more about that aspect of it than I do.

This bounce must have been caused by the USDA report - perhaps the crops are not doing that great, after all. Let's see if this is a headfake or a genuine reversal.

I don't know about that... at this point anything is possible. Every day I look at the ticker and just when I think it can't drop any lower, it goes down another $0.20. But yes, we are certainly due for a correction - corn is looking hugely oversold.
