    What is scalping?

The reason the trades are high probability is because of the small profit target.... if you take a profit every time you show a small profit, you will have a high rate of success but small profits.... that is his scalping works...

    What is scalping?

No. Scalpers make 10s sometimes hundreds of trades per day. Scalpers look to make 1 tick or so each trade. They have a high probability of success because they take profits as soon as they show, but they are usually wiped out with a loss.

    Why is trading so difficult?

IMO the only point to demo is to get a feel for how the software you are using works and how to execute orders and set limits and such. Demo trading has ZERO affect on live trades. ZERO. I can turn 10k to a 100k easily on a demo account. Now try to do it in live trades and take the 90k from...

    Why is trading so difficult?

demo/sim is much different then live trading. When you "profit" in a demo account you are not actually taking money from somebody else account. When you are trading live, and you profit, you are actually taking money from someone else account and putting it into yours. Its very difficult to do...

Are you trolling us trader god? if you really only have 18 dollars in the trading account, you might want to just get yourself a sandwich and a soda Lol. Yes TA is lots of noise. Try just trading based on price action. Look for charts in a long term uptrend (1,5,10 years) and then buy the...

Simple trading model that generates an average of 14% per year

I have an idea... max out your margin leverage and just hold it for 20 years. Your sure to beat market returns that way if you don’t get liquidated ;)

    Bond ETFs for income

What is wrong with the charts? You have to keep in mind what might look like violent moves is actually low volatility fluctuations. Agg for example : a high of 113 and low of 106 over 4-5 years is very small movements. Plus u collect monthly interest payments on the way. That’s the purpose of...

    Bond ETFs for income

I think I see what you are saying. If the price of your current bond drops and you sell for a loss to buy the higher interest rate bond you will have less money invested at a higher interest rate and you’ll end up with the same amount of money. But, If you do hold to maturity, you don’t sell...

    Bond ETFs for income

Yeah but to me that just seems like timing the market. Isn’t that like saying certain times are bad for being in equities. I think if I’m looking for the long term (5-10 years) it doesn’t really matter what rates are doing right?

    Trend Trading with Options

Spreads. deep itm options have a higher delta thus capturing more of the move dollar for dollar. Yes they are expensive so on a percentage basis your p/l will be less, but a dollar amount will be more. Plus you have a much higher chance of profiting using DITM options than OTM.

    Bond ETFs for income

Thank you guys for helping. Can you lose your entire principle in a bond ETF like shyg or AGG? Or is the risk just in the etf price being lower than when you initially purchased it. It’s seems highly unlikely that it would go to zero as it is highly diversified. I appreciate the help without...

Is active trading a viable job for an individual?

High frequency traders pay little to no commission, and don’t usually “predict” the direction of the market. They take advantage of spreads and move in and out of positions within a fraction of a second to make .01 cents per trade. And news flash, not all hft shops make money.

Is active trading a viable job for an individual?

Whatever makes you feel like your not wasting your time. Tell me again how much you have made trading the past 52 weeks? I would bet my left nut you have outperformed the snp, let alone even broken even. The market is completely random on a short term intra day basis. Support and resistance are...
