    Very hard time taking loss:(

I am just curious. All the advice in this post sounds very good. How many of the ET members are making good money? Say over $100K. I believe that if an experience trader, at least 3 years, is making anywhere under $70k, is not worth trading. You can get a job and make that much without...

    Is your trading improving?

I hope to provide some insights to help those ET members improve on trading. This is just my theory. In order to be successful in trading, one must be disciplined, have a set of goals and work hard. You have to be dedicated and willing to adapt to market changes. Find what works best for...

    Is your trading improving?

Is the market easier this year? It seems like many of the ET members are happy to day trade. For those you provided negative feedback, keep working. You will improve sooner or later.

    Is your trading improving?

I was just wondering if anyone on ET members are trading better this year. I made some changes to my trading style and it has paid off. If I can continue at this pace, I can certainly double what I made last year. Has anyone experience the same situation?

Prop Firm that caters to remote traders

You guys can debate whatever you want with pro firm, but I certainly think newbies should not engage in putting up 25K to trade at Don Bright's firm. I am not bashing Don's firm. I am saying that only the experience traders should do it. Trading is not easy. It takes a year or more to...

    Very elementary, dumb question

If you are afraid to lose 5K - 7K then why bother to trade. They say there's a cost to learn. If I were you, I would try to be knowledgeable in the markets and then focus on what you wanted to trade: equities, forex, futures, etc. Find a pro firm that will cater to your needs. It is very...

    Very elementary, dumb question

You need to use margin if you wanted to have more BP. There's no way around it unless you trade penny stocks. If you decided to daytrade, then I would suggest you use margin.

    Manhattan Day Trading Firms

My advice to you is to try it out. Since you are young, there's plenty of time for you to make $25k in another career if trading does not work out. I believe that in life you have to pursue your goal, and if you don't succeed once or twice, you can always do something else. Life is too short...

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

I don't know how many ET members are making money in the markets. It seems like very few. They always talk about BP and so on. When you have experience and proven track record, the BP means nothing, since so many experience traders have enormous amount of BP. Do most of the ET members...

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

I don't know how much experience these ET members have in trading, but all I know is that alot of my friends make much more than me on a monthly basis. So for those who criticized about this post, I guess you are missing out alot in trading.

    How successful are prop traders?

If your friend is very good, it is possible. Anything is possilbe in trading.

How much money is considered good enough for trading?

For those day traders out there, how much money do you make is considered decent? If someone is averaging $10K a month, is that enough?

Why do We Make Trading so Difficult?

Trading is difficult if you make it difficult. Just go with the trend. The trend is your friend. If the market is strong then you want to find strong stocks to get long and vice versa. Is just how you find the entry/exit point that matters.

    Trading against the Pro's?

Life is about risk. If you don't take the risk, you will never know. If you wanted to see whether or not you will succeed in trading then you have to try it. Worst comes to worst, you will lose $10k just to find out if trading is suited for you. There's a price for everything. My advice...

You can always trade remote. The commission is cheaper if you join a pro firm. Just a thought

    Scottrade anyone????

If you guys daytrade, why not join a pro firm? You can get a better rate if you negotiate. Plus the technical support maybe better too. Look them up on elite search. best of luck!

Why do We Make Trading so Difficult?

You need to have a sense of where the momentum is in the market. Look for stocks breaking highs/lows. Let your profit rise and cut your losses earlier. This will help you improve your trading.

NYSE trading Dead?? Hybrid??? End of alot of traders

Let's not call anyone names. We all know that without the specialists, we would not be making money on the NYSE stocks. Just be content and look forward to the hybrid system. Who knows... it could be easier than we expect. good luck in trading!

NYSE trading Dead?? Hybrid??? End of alot of traders

I think it will be harder for those who scalp the NYSE stocks. The stocks on the Hybrid system trade like Nasdaq stocks. For me, it does not matter because I trade the overall market and not any particular stock so it does not affect my trading. Hope I am wrong.
