GOOG to replace G on S&P 500 index

Could this company implode from growing too fast? Historically, that is what kills a company faster than anything else. Plus, nobody stays on top forever.

    The turtles. Are they real?

All systems need to be adjusted annually, if not quarterly/monthly/weekly/daily. I think the system is a good guide, but could use some tweaking to make it work well in this electronic trading world, v. the telephone trading world.

Best country to keep your money?

I read an article with Jim Rogers that said the best place in the not-too-distant future will likely be those countries with the most natural resources - Canada and New Zealand were mentioned. I am not sure if he meant Forex, or parking cash there. I think the latter . . . Definitely DO NOT...

    is cybertrader good?

Why would you ask -after- you opened the account. Check the BROKERS tab at the top of the screen. Best. By the way, loooove your screen name. :D :) :D

Successful automated trading with Excel + IB TWS

Agreed. Who cares what futures you trade? You will not gain respect by "keeping secrets" here on ET, you only risk being branded a phony-which you are already have one step in the right direction.

    Paid to Trade

Yeah, I am sure that is what the college catalog said: "Financial Statement Analysis Type Stuff 301 - Upon completion of this course, students will possess the ability to look at a financial statement and analyze the data therein. Special emphasis on the use of parentheses and how to trim a...

    Amsterdam Quote

Although I respect your sincere wishes, I must take issue with your assertion that Yahoo! Finance is "limited" in it's breadth of information. P/E ratios, EPS, volume, T.A., options chains, (and much more) and it is all free, and a hell of a lot faster and easier than anything else out there...

    Macro Shift

Recent reports show that half of all current mortages are interest only, the majority of which closed over the last one to two years. So, what happens in 2008/09 when the average house payment goes from $2000 to $3200? The average American would need a 65% salary increase to handle the payment...

Only early upside pops, some intraday action: +130 net on blotter here, and another +152 done in backup account . . .

    What a squeeze!!

Futures yes, stocks/opts no - I got so hammered early in the week that I was skittish about betting big, and had other trades on at the time.

    ignoring crude action?!

It is working, and will likely continue to for some time, at least during this period of volatile energy. I traded ES contracts from 1220 to 1225. Took about two minutes. I was watching oil and NatGas all morning, then when they were tumbling, I watched the market come back up and pounced...

    losing streaks

At least you realize this. How about this - tell us what YOU are doing to combat this so-called losing streak. Personally, I read Alan Farley's "The Master Swing Trader". I will likely catch flak sooner or later because I am such an ardent supporter of this book. He is the best personal...

    OIL head and shoulders

However, head and shoulders refers to stocks, not necessarily commod. This is momentum trading, and situational momentum - read: volatility. External forces are acting on energy right now, and this particular method of T.A. works well for stocks with tops and bases, it does not hold up in...

    CL Lim's Watchlist

Additionally, they can move markets and place a special emphasis on following the mutual funds - where they are placing bets, which moves mountains sometimes. However, Lim is right. You gotta get out while the gettin' is good.

    housing crash

Just wait until water is traded as a commodity. Maybe oxygen will be next. And you thought that $3.00 gasoline was bad . . .

    What a squeeze!!

Not when you trade futures on the indexes. Caught a $4.50 pop on ES (S&P500-emini) from 1220-1224.50 4 contracts on a 50 multiplier =$900. Not bad for three minutes work.

    Real-time trades

Just curious there, doctor - are you trying to over-post so you can vote on the software board, or do you just like the sound of your own keyclicks. Oh yeah, refer to me as Lord Swcom . . . yeah. I like the sound of that. Plus, this way BOTH of our egos are in check. HA!
