Why Is Keeping It Simple Is So Darn Complicated?

Is 1,000 words enough? Interestingly enough, I did well with Psych and Sociology, but lost interest. Wow...memories! Thanks birzos!

Why Is Keeping It Simple Is So Darn Complicated?

Why Is Keeping It Simple Is So Darn Complicated? K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid, or is it Keep It Stupid Simple? I’ve been working with a few traders in the last couple of weeks, and one of them asked me the question, “Why Is Keeping It Simple Is So Darn Complicated?” I must say that...

https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/women-on-the-wall-street.19562/page-2#post-507466 I had to resurrect this post. Amazing how things change over time.

    Women on the wall street

I had to resurrect this thread. Thirteen years later, and there's a "girl on Wall Street (well Whitehall St). http://money.cnn.com/2017/03/07/news/girl-statue-wall-street-bull/index.html

SNAP popped, but will it Crackle?

Don't hold your breath for this to wind up on a "short list" any time soon. They also need to get past the cooling off period.

SNAP popped, but will it Crackle?

I believe FB is in a different ballpark (far ahead, and much more diversified). TWTR is in outer space somewhere. The biggest mistake they made was turn down a buyout. They've yet to figure out how to monetize their business. I think SNAP is on to something, early in the game. I'm chomping at...

SNAP popped, but will it Crackle?

Personally: I use the app occasionally with family, and friends. The Business/ IMHO: The content is dynamic, as a video is maxed out at 10-seconds, and self-destructs. Brilliant feature, not a lot of clutter in the clouds or on servers, and keeps the subscriber coming back. Don't get any ideas...

A Good Day For Me. Back on ET. I miss this place, and some of you!

@Scataphagos returning to ET after almost 10 years, it only took 15 mins to get a warm welcome. I don't believe @ashantt 's post was mean spirited. Quite funny.

That's a great page. A lot of ancient, yet awesome content. I haven't been here in close to ten years (I had to look at my last posts), still looking around. Thanks for sharing @ashantt !

A Good Day For Me. Back on ET. I miss this place, and some of you!

@ashantt, Thank you for the warm welcome I posted the message to "rattle some of the cages" of folks I "hung out" with here, and meet some new folks along the way. I intend on sharing some of my thoughts here again, and learning from everyone, "especially" from the amateurs. I've shared a lot...

The number of members has probably doubled since I was last here. That means the number of constructive members have double along with the negative ones. I've met a lot great people here. Nonetheless, it's a great trader community.

Just finished backing up the truck on the NDX.

Great support level here. US government's (doesn't matter) defense mode shores up his level, and worst case puts me at 100 point swing until new president gets in. Coming home to roost isn't finished yet, but value at this level is too compelling.

    Harvey Houtkin DEAD!

There did exist a very long period of time in which people did make money at will. As this group of people grew, so did the competition. As the competition grew, the “competence” standards grew. Those who lacked confidence and skill found themselves facing failure since they could not adapt...

    Harvey Houtkin DEAD!

I am VERY saddened by Harvey's early passing, it has taken a tremendous toll on my family and I. The name of his 120' yacht is "SEC Won't Let Me Be!" In due time I will post a conglomeration of his history and contributions. Harvey Houtkin and Mark Shefts liberated the spreads for all...

anyone having trouble in this market?

Paying close attention to S/R levels work best in higher volatility markets. Think of these levels as "invisble fences", they represent the greatest culmination of fear and greed and second guess the best strategies. S/R levels work with ANY TRADING VEHICLE, as ALL of these vehicles are emotion...

anyone having trouble in this market?

Develop a stable of stocks, and stick with them. I've had reliable successes with a stable. Knowing the S/R levels, and momentum/ resistance of these "ponies" gets me through.
