    Stockcharts.com vs. Stockfetcher.com

Trade-ideas is for real time intraday signals and alerts; Stockfetcher is for end of day data only. Stockfetcher is better suited for swing and position traders. An equity only trader should not trade without one of those services or an equivalent...just my .02 cents :D Happy trading.

Losing Trader + Losing Trader = 2 Winning Traders

Hi Ripley, this is the thread he was referring to. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=48312 Beware of so called, "some of the most experienced traders" :) Happy trading.

Losing Trader + Losing Trader = 2 Winning Traders

Could you post some credible references or perhaps a link or two to where it says "it's illegal" please?. Thanks in advance :)

    IB - Acct Transfer

I'm just guessing here without complete information. But every firm has their own margin requirements for securities held overnight. Some are more flexible than others.

Is the SEC trying to eliminate day trading

Are you sure you're not reiterating the old T+3 rule for non-margin accounts?

    wwatson1 journal

Hello, I have two questions for you. Unless I'm reading the chart wrong, did you actually hold PCQ that long? And also, do you place "market on open" orders or do you actually watch the open for a few minutes then execute the entry with limit orders? Thanks in advance.

Anyone have two accounts and do regular hedging?

I couldn't say about the currencies but that strategy used to be the favorite among the hedgefund managers for tax purposes. But then IRS wised up and changed the rules :D

Hi there, got in just fine, thank you. You're inspiring me to go back to my swing trading days, I might just do that with a small lot. Keep up the good work and take care.

    Gambling Pure and Simple

You use mental stops right, but you can't really control yourself to stick to the mental stops. So stop using mental stops and use the actual stop loss orders. Have fun.

    Medved QuoteTracker

Hello and thank you for providing us with a free software platform that's compatible with most major brokerages (in most cases it's better than the broker's own prop. software :D ). I have a question though, I use Cybertrader for day trading but I've just opened up another account with IB for...

Hi Handle, just ordered the book last week. Hopefully, I'd be able to join you on the discussions soon. But I don't know much about anything and trying to trade the equities at the moment. Good luck tomorrow :)

    "smart routing".... IB vs. CYBERTRADER

Actually CT is very flexible. Yes, they do require you to put in at least 40,000 shares/per month minimum, but if you didn't make it for whatever reason, they will go back and use the month with the highest number of shares for the last three months and/or average of the last three months...

    "smart routing".... IB vs. CYBERTRADER

Hello, I'm currently with CyberTrader and very happy with them. The smart routing system from CyberTrader is customizable to suit your style of trading. I rarely use it though as I usually route ECN direct. I'm looking forward to open another account for swing trading and IB + Quote Tracker...
