    Questrade

I'd say it looks like a better deal than Swifttrade's. Of course you don't have to put any money at Swift and pay comissions there but you get only 30%. And as we all know, if you don't make 5K a month you get nothing. Now, at Quest you pay $1 per 1000 shares if you trade more than 250K...

    Any experiences with Brokerage America?

"Comission free market orders..." You know... it just doesn't sound right.

    The "Holy Grail"

Why do you want to start with minis, then? I suppose you want to scalp them, right? Otherwise 5K is just not enough. You lose internet connection and all your money management goes to the toilet.

    The "Holy Grail"

5K to trade e-minis? And you call this money management?

    Liquidity Trader. Need Help.

wasn't that just $0.10? And yes, it was soo cool to swipe the level with 10k shares, then dump it to some sucker and reverse the position to make another 5 -10 pennies. Now it's just a mess, garbage market.

    Q:Nasdaq stocks to trade

If it's an average volume then it's too boring for me. I hate to trade CSCO or ORCL or even INTC - it takes too long to get 3-10 cents and the intraday range is usually too small.

Thanks, but that didn't answer my question:(

    Q:Nasdaq stocks to trade

I'm trying to figure which stocks would be better for intraday scalping/momemtum trading with 3000-5000 shares lot. Requirements for stocks: 1.Liquidity - at least 5 mil shares a day but no more than 20 mil, 2.Volatility - nice intraday range, 3. Price - $7.00 - 27.00. I know that I...

    How to be....

What does he need Bright or any other prop. firm for? He could open an account with IB - it'll save him some money on comissions, software/hardware fees (does Bright charge 400 a month?) and introduction course ($1000, I believe).

    QLGC and semi's

Yeah, we'll see. No need to panic. Look at the MSFT 1 yar chart - it's going to meet some major resistance. Maybe even tomorrow. It was one of the strongest big cap stocks today - one more reason for today's rally since MSFT's 13% presence in NAS. But still - it really looks like reversal in...

    QLGC and semi's

I would rather buy stocks with charts like EBAY's. QLGC chart looks really ugly. Maybe it was so strong in a weak market that it finally got tired?

    QLGC and semi's

We'll see how strong it is. Although, I'm ready to cover - it really looks like a bottom now and I wouldn't hold short too long if it's really THE reversal.

    QLGC and semi's

I'm short too. On a 1 year chart it looks like it'll definetely go to low 20's, but due to today's market action and QLGC afterhours action it may go to 36.50- 37 if it'll break 35 -35.60 area in a regular session. Let's see what tomorrow will bring us. Somebody was buying huge today and it...

E-mini Trading with IB for Canadians

I just opened an universal account at IB but I'm not trading yet, so I can't confirm if I actually can trade e-minis. I'll be able to give you an answer in a couple of days.

Is this Citygroup thing going to affect IB?

I didn't mean to insult you, I was just pissed of a little by stockman's posting. Thank You! In fact, I just moved to Van from Toronto - what a difference.

Is this Citygroup thing going to affect IB?

I've been trading for 3 years and I've seen dozens of traders who knew a lot more then I about stocks, economy, fundamental analisys and other stuff. Some of them had MBA, some were investment bankers, former brockers etc. Now I can count those who left in trading just using fingers of one hand...
