    ES Reversal Method

I missed the first trade because my internet connection wasn't working. I had 3 other trades. Buy at 1309.25 stopped out at 1307.25 -2.0 Buy at 1306.75 stopped out at 1305.25 -1.50 Buy at 1303.75 exited on close at 1307.25 +3.50 Pretty lucky at the end. I'll refresh the data later and...

    ES Reversal Method

The two CCI indicators have different purposes. I use the 30 min. CCI to indicate overbought/oversold conditions. CCI above average is going into overbought territory while below the average would indicate oversold territory. The 5 min. CCI is used for timing. When it's rising and crosses...

    Exit long at 1307.25

    ES Reversal Method

Use the 20 period CCI for the CCI line. The second line is the average which is just a 10 period simple moving average of the 20 period CCI.

    ES Reversal Method

I use a combination of market orders for entry and stop orders to exit losing positions. Both have gotten a heavy workout today (lol). Exits with profits are done with market orders.

    ES Reversal Method

Lets say I dream for a second and the market rallies to 1309. It wouldn't be a new high but it might be enough to push the 30 min CCI into the sell zone (cross above the CCI average). In that case, if the market starts to drop and the 5 min. CCI were to cross the 5 min. CCI average then I'd use...

    ES Reversal Method

I'll summarize the days trades and keep a running total so everyone can see how the method does over time. Obviously with the high for the day made in the first 15 min. of trading it looks pretty ugly for this reversal method. Better to see the pain before the gain so you don't get too...

    ES Reversal Method

I posted the new lows easylanguage in the post after the new highs. I don't have any rules on when to start trading for the day.

    ES Reversal Method

I use that if I'm stopped out outside of yesterday's range. The idea is a low or high made outside of yesterday's range could be the end of the trend (lots of stops are placed below the low and above the high). If there isn't anything left I'd like to give it one last shot before throwing in the...

    ES Reversal Method

Another new low made at 1302.75 so stop will be at 1302.50. CCI has crossed the average however new lows were being made up through the last bar. If this 5 min. bar doesn't set a new low, then I'll be getting long at 12:55.

And here's the new low paintbar study.

    ES Reversal Method

I separated the paint bar studies into new high and new lows. When I mixed the two the colors didn't come out right...could be a problem with 2000i. Here's the new high paintbar study.

    ES Reversal Method

New low is 1303.25 so stop will be at 1303.00. Notice the stop is below the low of yesterday. If this trade is stopped out there won't be anymore buys for today.
  15. N

    ES Reversal Method

Stopped out at 1305.25. New low being made so wait for lows to stop before looking for another buy. High of day made in first 10 min. --- so far a trending day down.

My window bar spacing is 10. I'm using TS2000i. Since I don't know anything about 8.1 either someone else will have to help you or you'll need to contact TS support for help with the 30 min. symbol insert. NPP

Here's what my screen looked like for the last buy.

Then you select one of the CCI Average indicators and left click on Format. On the right side of the screen you should see a folder tab for Properties. Click on it and change the Base study on: to the 30 min. symbol. Here is what my screen looks like:

Did you get how to insert the second symbol on the chart? After that on the main screen you do insert ---> indicator ---> CCI Average. Then on the chart right click with the mouse and left click on Format Analysis Techniques. This is what I see:

I'm only using the day session for the data since that's all I'm trading. The 30 min. CCI average was clearly in the buy zone before taking the long at 1306.75.
