Gold traded at two different exchanges

I was wondering since gold is traded at two different exchanges if one exchange tends to lead the other in price or do they generally hang pretty tight. Anybody a day-trader of gold that would care to share their experiences?

Help me be a pessimist about my automated system

ditto... I have built a few winning systems using neoticker as well... the biggest thing for me was...the amount of data...like was mentioned 3 months is nothing...especially on 90 min bars...you will probably be disappointed when you run it on 3 yrs...they say you should have a system...

    Time to Short Oil

This is all good stuff...I would like to ask though...at what point would you call all the mentioned markets, bear markets. How do you know the difference between a pullback and the start of a new trend?

Jay, What type of background (educational) do you have surrounding the oil industry. Did you go to college and recieve a general business degree and work on the financial side of this business? Are you on the scientific end of things like engineering and chemistry? Currently I am a market...

    Crude bounce.....

pat, If this market is not fundamentally driven, then all the more reason for a collapse at anytime (now or weeks/months from now). You seem to be basing your decision to have a continuing bull market on pure psychology. The markets are nothing but psychology...though there are other...

    Oil

a joke? I'm certainly not sure...but it seems to me that oil shale is a much more less efficient method of extracting oil than say hitting typical oil field and just plugging the pump up...imagine how long it would take to cook all that shale and extract the oil

    Crude bounce.....

well..thats a little bit of a different type of policy battle...as for OPEC...whether they can produce more or less, they'd never really tell us

    Crude bounce.....

I agree and disagree that there don't need to be "reasons." However, I do beleive that of all markets, surprisingly commodities do need to have a reason at some point. Its not like equities where you can have a dot.com and just run it off the market and crash it. With commodities there are...

    Crude bounce.....

Is the market transparent to PROs

We all know that a so called "edge" is what separates the boys from the men in trading. With all strategies aside I would like to ask some of the more experienced traders out there: what makes the markets "transparent" to you? In other words what is the information difference between a...

    Crude bounce.....

I don't "keep" calling tops...I'm calling one now though...the last time i called a top the market dropped about 2 1/2 bucks over the next two days...didn't drop as much as I hoped in the longer run...but it was a 4% move nonetheless..also when I call tops...its not meant to be an intraday...

Oil hits new peak at $75

more than likely a fear over instability of strength in the economy due to higher energy prices...so given the recent rise in bond yields they were probably being bought for a little portfolio security
