Ninja Trader with downloaded tick data

NT 6 does not officially support TickData.com data feeds. Also, the importer does not support time frames other than 1 minute. From their support site: "Set the interval to 1 Minute bars (do not set to any other interval)" NinjaTrader needs an overhaul of their import engine. It is...

    Can IB auto-accept incoming connection?

I do not use ensign but the concept is the same. I am sending orders via the TWS/API and auto-login so all my functionality is in a single app.

Where to find csv files on historical stock prices?

Did anyone read the following: "Their IP (64.49.240.218) is routed through NetLink Information Systems which is in India and most likely has servers in the middle east which pass through Dubai." Wealth-lab is not a conspiracy. If you follow the IP trace and their hosting servers, it is all...

    Can IB auto-accept incoming connection?

Yes. You can automate the task by simulating login. I think some public tools exist to help here; I coded my own.

ThinkOrSwim - Real account just as slow as Demo?

Even IB tends to drop ticks now and then. Never used Global so don't know much about their data quality.

    Nikkei 225 Futures Historical Data

If tickdata.com does not have a symbol or only has limited availability, it will not be easy finding from another source. You will find minute data on the N225, but tick is going to be difficult. Also, much easier to find cash index vs futures.

Where to find csv files on historical stock prices?

I will forget about how stupid your logic is, but their company and hosting company ARE NOT in the middle east. Rackspace is a Texas company. You are either stupid or crazy (maybe both?). Their IP (64.49.240.218) is routed through NetLink Information Systems which is in India and most likely...

    Historical Data Copyright?

I think he means the entire catalog of 3000 symbols that make up the Russell 3000. Not the single index.

    How far to backtest intraday?

For 5 minutes, I would use 3-5 years. For 1 minute, I would use 1-2 years. You need to factor the frequency of trading. Less trades, require more back testing.

    What has become of anfutures.com?

increasenow, anfutures.com is (was?) a data provider not a trading firm.

    Historical ETF Data

Does tickdata.com have a student discount? Could be worth checking into. And I agree with R0bert. Tick data is more complex to work with than intraday. The brain thinks tick is smaller than intraday so it must be better, but this is usually not the true for most strategies.

    144 tick charts

Also of note is the fact that when using tick charts of a fixed size, every data provider uses their own custom calculation. So no two providers will have the exact same tick bars. A 144 tick chart on eSignal is not the same as a 144 tick chart on TradeStation.

    144 tick charts

Bullseye/Traders Internationa/Felton are basically the exact same method.
