A question to people that don't "believe" in TA

As in the generic theme, there's only two types, Fundamental Analysis versus Technical Analysis and any of other forms are just a variety of one kind or another. For me, Fundamental is for long term investment while Technical is for short term investment for a given security. Since changes...

A question to people that don't "believe" in TA

Momentum> Hi TA and Fundamental. TA & Fundamental> Hi Momentum, good to hear from you. Momentum> Happy to meet you both again. Fundamental> Buy and hold is king, example Mr. Buffet. Momentum> Fundamentals is for the lazy. TA> Agree. Momentum> TA, I heard many people are using. TA> Sure...

    Great non-trading trading books...

Ok, let come back to the thread objective. Your book suggestion looks good and that what the thread asked.:)

What is your single biggest fear in life?

My biggest fear, excluding the death, if the hope convinces me, one day or another, to hold a losing position. It is ridiculous as it is the hope. Holding a losing position is not always applicable to trading but to life as well.

Where can I find the value of "relative strength" of a stock?

Wow, very impressive! All stocks are strong there. What I want to know is the strongest stocks after I bought them, not before I buy them.:D

There is so much money out there waiting to be invested in Forex

It's already more than one month passed and the double must have a lot of effects. Since the currency is a non-stop trading, I think this guy made a lot of $$$ and now he's probably retire peacefully and happily. LOL.

    IB Suggestions & Improvements

IBj, Can IB's API have the open price for stocks and a Stock Screener similar to the website below with different parameters that user can select? I think the stock screener will boost the trading activity. http://www.marketwatch.com/tools/stockresearch/screener/default.asp?siteid=mktw...

    Great non-trading trading books...

Exact. Being contrarian is not so good and more often than not we didn't answer correctly to the question the thread asked. In fact, I'm not a contrarian in trading. I learned that I have to be a naive guy face to Mr. Market. I learned that I have to listen to him and do what he dictates...

    1% a day consistently: possible?

Oh, 50 years consistently profitable will be more than great and powerful. Even with 25 years is famous.

    1% a day consistently: possible?

Even without the compounding I wonder if you really understand the purpose of this thread. The keyword is consistently. You have claimed, in the previous post, that if you can make 250% a year, it's ok. And the question is can you repeat it. In other words, can you make it consistently?

    Mr. B’s trading journal

Mr. B, Please take steve46's advise seriously. In my opinion, the Market is not designed for small fluctuations. Jesse Livermore had tested with his winning method at the bucket shops but it didn't work in Wall Street. He had to find other winning method that fit with the big move, the...

    Great non-trading trading books...

No Bull by Michael Steinhardt. Don't even think this is an investment book with the first impression of its title. Do not misunderstood him as I did about the title he was quite right to give this title. Bull means the stock market, a rising stock market if you prefer and No means negation...

    1% a day consistently: possible?

As I see even the author of this thread didn't believe himself that it could be done. But what about you? You seem to really believe in it. Good luck man!

    1% a day consistently: possible?

You look aggressive that reveal the personality of your trading style, you don't need to show us your performance result, I know the rest. The point here is not about "smart" or "idiot", but it's about how the 1% a day is very attractive than $100M. Got it? In my opinion, Wall Street...
