    are divergences really worth anything?

Until no_pm_please got sick, this journal was posted here at Elitetrader, as real time as you can get on a message board. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20761&highlight=divergence+journal Also, I highly recommend NihabaAshi's offer.

    are divergences really worth anything?

lindq, Are you serious ? Do you actually trade with real money ? How can you say that a reverse head and shoulders is marketing material ? (you posted this earlier in this thread) Trends exist. Trends stop and reverse. All reversals are some type of double bottom/top, head and...

    How would you trade this

This issue looks like it is weakening to me. If it pulls up slightly and shallow, looking like a weak pullback, a short might be a play here. I'll try to get a chart posted later.

    Classic Head & Shoulders

Wow. Just took a glance at this chart again, 9/12 before open. This thing is like a caged animal. Went to highs and pulling back now. Forget the Head and Shoulders. Actually the Head and Shoulders was gone a few days ago.

    SIZE

I hear a lot of commotion regarding size. Things like: "when I do size, the problems really start" or, "size will kill ya" or, " I was doing great till I started trading with size" Surprisingly, these comments come from some profitable traders...

    NQ Trades

Yep, here's another trader that has done this human accidental act. But, Afterburner, it is just that: a human mistake. There's no difference with doing what you did and hitting the wrong floor button on an elevator. Of course, life has it's humor: Wrong floor from an elevator; you...

    "POP" Quiz

VT From reading a lot of your posts I am wondering if you always set your stops by a predetermined point number or do you have an area of a chart that would determine the trade no longer valid ? Double tops/bottoms, which I believe you trade quite frequently, would be violated if the top...

    Classic Head & Shoulders

Looks like the 17.5 - 18 area definately provided some resistance. High volume down day today and I didn't see any news. 9/4/03. We'll see.

    Classic Head & Shoulders

17.5 to 18 has some resistane in the form of the 50 day simple moving average and prior support. This thing does look like it will need to rest. Especially if it moves up some more. For me, and my method of trading, it is a wait and see right now. I'll keep watching.

    Classic Head & Shoulders

Deadreader, you still watching this stock ? As of this post, 9/1, it's looking strong right now. Let's see what it does at it's 50 day simple moving average right around 18.

    Divergence Trade Thread

VT, By the way, where do the settings for the MACD and Stoch come from ? I find the MACD setting very good and smooth for signaling trend reversals and the Stoch one good for double tops/bottoms. They can be used together for the double tops/bottoms.

    Check out this chart

Don't be shy. There's no right or wrong answer. At 10:35, 8/30 there have been 43 viewings of the chart and only 4 replies. :) :D Also, so that everyone else can look at the chart without knowing what the chart represents at first, try not to comment on what the chart...

    Check out this chart

Most experienced traders can probably look at a chart and within a second get a feel for it being bullish or bearish. Look at this chart and list your initial take on it. Then figure out what chart it represents. This won't work if you figure out what it represents first. The...
