That is the true definition of scalping. But with the advent of decimization the definition of scalping has different interpretations.

I think when you are talking about making and losing less then 5 cents then this type of scalping is considered "liquidity" trading.

IB does not charge extra for billable orders.

Well often negative posts are impulse reactions. A 15 to 30 day waiting period would definitely reduce the "impulse" posters.

Good summary. Another noteworthy point is that with a firm where you don't put up any money you will likely get a % of profits (50%-90%). And conversely firms where you put down money will give you 100%.
