    beating the banks

beating the banks There's no need to feel overpowered by banks, hedge funds, brokers etc., or to try and tell what they're doing, or to try and copy their strategies as they're playing a different game on the same board. They aren't the Gods of trading that you imagine, or that they would like...

How many years are necessary to consider yourself a successful trader?

When you stop looking for the reason why what you're holding is going up/down. When you no longer think or talk about the intrigue of the market. When you no longer feel the need to look for events to make money. When your trading is as methodical as price movement is. When you don't tattoo your...

Amazing. I’ve tried to give away my methodology...

You can lead a person to software, but you can't make him click! Sure, anyone's interested in trading, as a dream is attached to it. But as you say, the effort required to reach the dream is the problem. They see your success, but most look at the market as too risky after hearing of those who...

Does anyone else feel sleepy while trading?

Recently I saw on TV that the brain needs 4 hours to recover, and that we sleep in 90 minute cycles. So, after the 4 hours, if you wake up within a 90 minute cycle you'll likely feel the need for more sleep. But if you wake up near the end on one of the cycles, you'll feel rested. I've...

I got a lot of Likes for this. It might surprise you!!

You need a minimum of 4 letters in the word. I don't think it would work with random letters between the first and last ones.

What lessons did you learn in 2017 that improved your trading?

Not just in 2017, but every year I confirm that there's still more to learn (and that's what makes it all so much fun!!).

Mega doses of vitamin C and my 35 years of experience

I wrote the above regarding the two experiences I have had while taking mega doses of vitamin C. However, I have just had an additional one! Is chart trading dead? (At least when it comes to ES)

Yes, 'chart reading' may sound lightweight compared to other expressions that define the same approach. Just as the well known Head & Shoulders may sound sort of Mickey Mouse to some. Perhaps if it had been named a 'rectangle with a false breakout' it would be taken more seriously.

Is chart trading dead? (At least when it comes to ES)

Is chart trading dead? It will never die because there will always be trends in the markets as long as there are people (and algos) that can't read them!!
