    Should I sue over this?

Man, just talk to a real attorney. If you have a strong case, he'll be all over it like a maggot on stale meat.

help me lose some bloody pounds

Most fat/sedentary people overestimate the amount of exercise it takes to lose weight without adjusting diet. You can jog 1 hour a day, 3 days a week (which is an incredible amount of exercise for some people), and in a month you will burn 7200 calories, which works out to a whopping 2 pounds...

    tommorow's freefall

This is why most people lose money in the markets. They think they can predict the market but they're often wrong, as is the case yet again.

    SPX options

With portfolio margin, I prefer SPX & OEX over ES. The spreads are narrower and commission are indeed much lower. But ever since IB put their restrictions on PM, I've traded SPX less.

IB no interest on first 10K rule, what do you do with the money?

This advice is useless for the majority of ETers. The people who qualify for portfolio margin are the ones who need EFPs the least, because their accounts are large enough that they're getting good interest rates on most of their credit balances.

Why I don't buy the 4.5% Unemployment Rate

The tech jobs that disappeared after 2000 were the "fluff" types jobs like Web-designers. I knew people who did those jobs and you didn't need a CS degree to do it, so the labor supply exceeded demand and the 2000 dotcom bubble ended up purging those excess jobs. Good software engineers and...

help me lose some bloody pounds

There is little association between a carb's GI value and whether it's complex or simple. The other person stated that flour is a simple carb, which it is not, probably assuming that high GI foods are simple carbs. Potatoes and white bread for instance have high GI but are considered complex...

    The best hedge fund ever?

help me lose some bloody pounds

This post is so wrong I don't know where to begin. Pasta is a complex carbohydrate as is flour. Simple carbs have an important benefit: energy. You can get energy from other sources such as complex carbs and fat, but it's ignorant to say simple carbs have no benefit. There are only 4...

am I a successful trader or a loser?

hey if you can consistently return 20%+ year after year, you're already exceeding the overwhelming majority of traders and professional mutual fund managers.

SURE WIN : Calendar and Reverse Calendar Spread

That thing on their website has been around for a while, and it doesn't say PM will be available next week, it says they're approving customers for it. I think they should remove it as it's misleading.

Virtually every major retail broker offers insurance beyond SPIC coverage through Lloyds, and it's in the tens of millions or hundreds of millions of dollars for securities and 900k cash.

Why I don't buy the 4.5% Unemployment Rate

Don't believe the shit you hear from industry. For as long as I can remember, they've been saying there's a shortgage of skilled engineers and scientists, and our colleges don't produce enough qualified employees so we need more immigrants to make up the slack. That's their way to convince...

Why I don't buy the 4.5% Unemployment Rate

You need to redo your math. The populations of just NY, Boston, LA, SF, San Jose, Honolulu, Seattle, and San Diego metro areas is 10% of the US population. Those are just a few of the expensive places in the US. There's no way you can "easily live" on 30k in 98% of the country. Maybe 2/3...

    The best hedge fund ever?

I don't know why anyone would give away such a successful system for peanuts. I've been trading my system for 9 years and it's nowhere near as successful as this guy claims his is, but I wouldn't give mine away for less than $250k, and I'd only sell it to a few people at most.

Are traders frugal with their money?

By the way, Millionaire Next Door is a great book but I wouldn't want all Americans to live by it, else our economy would be in the tank. :D

Are traders frugal with their money?

How frugal people are as adults depends on how they were raised as children. The people I know who grew up in blue-collar or middle-class families tend to be frugal, because their parents taught them to save money and probably bought cheap clothes from Walmart/Kmart and didn't splurge on toys...
