    Admittedly, R is very cool.

If you can afford to use older libraries (i.e. not the bleeding-edge), debian is a more stable distro and actually the upstream source of the ubuntu project

Soros: China must fix the global currency crisis

I'm not sure China is the only offender with the Fed printing press going warp 9, but it's an interesting article... --- http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/f4dd9122-d22a-11df-8fbe-00144feabdc0.html China must fix the global currency crisis By George Soros Published: October 7 2010 19:40 |...

Why should inflation on a population with 10% unemployment, stagnant job growth, aging workers, and massive personal / structural debts be a net gain for the market? Inflation (which could get brutal soon, considering the coincidentally lower agricultural yields this season) stands ready to...

The point, which is understandably not well-received, is that a fill doesn't always mean it's going in your favor. You're an incurable bull... and the Fed / short-termism works in your favor these days. When the realities of inflation, currency wars or worse hit, the bears will be happy to...

Investment Company Institute sees $20 billion Sep equity outflow in stock markets

But those stats are only for mutual funds and don't account for ETFs, which seem to be the instrument of choice these days. I'm not sure where to find comparable ETF info... thoughts?

Maybe you're right, but at 1340 ET, I think it's premature to call bottom on NQ, particularly with the activity on DX today... DX has long green candles, and short red candles. If that continues, NQ 1995 may not be the lowest we see.

    Momentum reversals

This isn't comprehensive treatment of reversals, but I found it educational... tlow has a journal where they discussed a pretty rapid reversal following an FOMC announcement in August of this year. Details here: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2939231 Check out page 2...

    JPY at end of trend?

    JPY at end of trend?

I'm not sure I understand this... The Japanese weakened the yen overnight, which made the dollar take a dive... shouldn't the dollar strengthen when the yen is weaker?
