    Starting your own Forex MM

FYI, I've looked into the FXManager. So far it looks very easy and very promising. They have a few bugs to work out, but I believe it will work for me, and I will believe it will work for anyone that wants to manage someone else's money easily. The nice thing is that the way they are...

How large a factor is interest?

Try doing it with EUR/TRY. You'll need about half that. Also, it takes awhile to get up to that position size. I buy on DIPS and only .05% of my NAV. And remember: "One Rain Drop Raises the Sea" Don't try to get to that position size all at once. YOU WILL BLOW YOUR ACCOUNT...

How large a factor is interest?

Here's the summary transaction for one of my accounts. I have two accounts that I am managing, with nearly equal amounts in them that pretty much are getting the same results. Sorry, don't have time to write much more right now. Getting ready to head to the ocean. Also, since you can see...

How large a factor is interest?

Interest is a HUGE factor with me. Right now I am making about $600 a day in interest and LOVING IT. Capital gains are better (tax wise), but as a swing trader interest is a good percentage of my gains. Rule of thumb, do not go against the interest deferential, that can be a killer...

It's called Japan is printing YEN like mad. The paper is loosing value at a rapid rate.

    question

Simple, supply and demand. People want to hold currencies that pay good interest rates. Low interest rates makes borrowing currency cheeper.

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

Looks like USD/CAD is finally turning around before the trade balances reports come out. Hmm. I wonder how much it will jump if the trade balance reports are possitive..:D

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

Between the FED's comments on Bonds, The Dow Dropping a 100 points, and ISM Non-Manufacturing Index going beyond expectations. These things might be signalling the time for the USD to turn around. NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks were down sharply on Tuesday, sending the Dow Jones...

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

That's what I've felt often times when I've programmed a stop. So unless I set my stops I will loose. But even then, sometimes currency really an spike which can even hit outrages stop levels. I think it probally best to just draw a red line on the chart to indicate where you would like to...

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

Here's my take on what I think and wish will happen within the next few weeks.. The US: With gas and stock prices sky rocketing. Inflation Concerns may make the Fed think about a rate increase. The only problem with them increasing the rates in their minds, are those people who were...

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

I too have learned NOT to use STOP LOSS on my trades. I swear, dealers look at those stops, and find some way to trigger them off. And it seems on OANDA there is incredible slippage that can occur at those STOP LOSS prices so that you will even loose more. It's like give the dealer permission...

    Currency Box Options

Hey has anybody tried making money with box options on Oanda? Looks interesting, but often times things that looks that good, turns out to be another method for a dealer to take some more money out of your pocket and put it into his.

    Loonie ... the infamous USD/CAD

Using 1970 rates to support a position seems flawed to me since Canada just started to float it's currency after having it at a fixed rated between 1962 and 1970. Read: http://www.bankofcanada.ca/en/speeches/2000/sp00-7.html to find out more.

    Forex Trading

Dan: I usually only place trades at around 7am and again round 8pm. And for the past few years I've been making between 35 to 120% per year. And in general, I only make my trade decitions using technical analysis, and only trade pairs where you earn interest. So I would say yes. But...
