I dont use anything sophisticated, at least not yet, just freebies on the web. I dont care to back test either as I dont know how I would do it with the data I use... I am sure there is a way but it would be so time consuming and intensive I would rather focus my time and resources on whats...

took profits in TALX today ahead of their earnings... I dont really like holding through an announcment but liked the price action so I held half of my overall position, will see what tomorrow brings.

Initiated a screen today, the following stocks made the first cut. My screens turned up an initial universe of 82 names, larger than the last screen but still a little smaller than average. Saw some of the same names but there are more new ones this time around. I have to double check all...

I am looking forward to my next screen, I will probably complete on the 16th, MLK day with the extra time and all. I am eager to see what insights into the current market the results reveal. Stay tuned...

Closed out my RTSX position today at 32.89 for a -3.6% loss on the overall position. My saving grace was that it was a small position. In retrospect I should not have messed with it after the dilution and got aggressive with my entry, I think it may pull back in the 20's now. Oh well...

Gotta love it when three of your four postions are making new 52 highs. took some profits in TALX, but only a small lot at 52.89, for about a 19% gain. glad i held onto HANS as it just ripped new 52 highs, what a freight train! if you read my log i almost sold off all of my position but...

Still watching RTSX closely, I dont like it acting weak when the broader market is up but I am noticing some buying interest in teh 32-34ish range so I am hanging around to see if the buyers can support this and ultimately push it up... I am very pleased with my other pos. HANS, ARD, TALX

got filled on a bid today on TALX at 45.32 to add to my position but I am keeping a close eye on it... 45 level appears to be a key battleground.

Looks like Santa stiffed us up this year but it was a nice ride up to here so no complaints… while Santa was busy hitting the egg nog and standing us up I was busy taking profits and tightening stops... The past week I have taken a lot of profits and lightened up a lot. ARD-Sold lots on...

Glad I added to ARD on Tuesday, it had a nice day yesterday and back up again this morning... right now I am holding tight, keeping an eye on the shop and waiting to see if santa brings any rally of sorts... if so i will take profits into any strength at year end/january...
