If a trader needs to know how SL4 does what it does in order to use it, then I can tell you right now, look elsewhere. However, to us that would be like saying, "well, I don't believe the breaks will actually stop the car unless I actually understand how they work and how to build breaks...

SL4 was originally designed and created by traders who required certain informational alerts, charting algorithms, montage layouts, and other informational displays for their own trading -- all of which were not available anywhere else (and, outside of SL4, are still not available to this day)...

The techniques utilized are proprietary..however I can enlighten you to some degree in that methods of surveillance are heavily utilized..Picture this...you walk into an office...you have daily events and parameters whereby your actions are indeed noticed and captured everyday...before you know...

SL4 is friendly towards other applications...I will have to get some answers for you regarding the specifics to Bill Cruz's fine product and will post them for you...SL4 is in a "quiet" period of nondisclosure with a large futures firm that does use Patsystems...I will give you this information...

SL4's mission is simply to provide the trader a better direct access platform as compared objectively feature by feature ... SL4 tries to protect aspiring traders by providing a built in practice mode whereby one can have the opportunity to trade real time whereby there are no additional fees...

The matter regarding SL4 is simple...all of you have your choice regarding trading platforms...most platforms offer very similar features and are ticket based...If you are scalping, the cents per share model at 1 cents per share with a small minimum allows for profitability on relatively small...

Regarding the other asset classes eminis etc..the issue has to do working with firms that execute and clear those types of trades..we are in the process of creating those alliances at this time...as is for the forex...however SL4 does already follow and process this type of data...:)
