Unfortunately, options are not good for daytrading, coz of large spread and bigger commissions, not to mention slow fills. Even QQQ may not get you fast fills, coz it's traded on AMEX, filled by market makers, not on Nasdaq ECNs (even though they recently merged).

Well said, handson. That's why I abandoned IB long time ago for my stock daytrading. I only use it for occassional futures trading now (old version).

EchoTradeonline doesn't mention cost of software on their web site. Also I question the amount of money u have to put up, unless you are a real good and big trader, do you really need 50K to trade nasdaq stocks? I only trade 100-200 shr at one time.

Based on the manual i've read, u still have to put one line each for different routing options for a single stock. That to me is still unacceptable, if you daytrade actively.

I may use it as a back up for Tradescape. But maybe a good replacement for CyberX.

Short availability, I'm surprised that IB don't let u short JNPR (Juniper), which is a popular and liquid stock. I'm not too happy about that.

Hi, someone mentioned that he uses ARCA and REDI to trade stocks because of better and faster executions than "Best Execution", my question is i often see bid/ask outside those of Best Execution. for example, if a stock XYZ is trading 100 and 100 1/8 on Best Execution, yet on ARCA it shows 98...
