LC...i agree with this. I traded equities for almost 17 years most of them at bulge bracket firms. We never used stops when we were accumulating positions. Typically we were doing it as a view ahead of a significant event. Once that event happened we then sold/covered the position, but not...

Pekelo..question about %R. i don't use it currently, but I want to learn about it. I have it on a 15 min s&p cash chart. the current reading is 91.3. Is that correct? so an oversold condition would then go down to 0?

No problem...thanks. I shorted the bell, but got stopped out when the aapl earnings came out. In hindsight shouldn't have done that trade with big earnings like that coming out anyways, or at least should have waited to see the reaction to the numbers even if it means missing the trade.

If we rally into the bell today, does this hold true to be short at the cash close today?

don't know if you guys look at Demark analysis at all, but 5 min, 10 min, and 30 min all giving trend exhaustion signals.
