    Eurex Volumes Collapse

Maybe less volume is a sign of increased market efficiency. Before the market was less efficient, so it took longer and more trades to get to the "correct" price.

NY's Tower of Lemon Socialism to cost 3.8B

This building has a huge symbolic value. It symbolizes that America we not be broken by Islamic terrorism. Unfortunately, America is in economic decline, but I still support this building as a big F you to terrorists.

    Marriage, just don't

How sad about the murder. A lot of my friends have healthy marriages. From my failures know what to look for in a girl now. I learned a lot about myself from my failed relationships. There are things I can work on now. You have to take your failures as a learning experience. I haven't...

GOLD AT 5,000??? Bubble or super depression.

I'd buy property or stocks instead of gold. The likelihood that Gold becomes a reserve currency is pretty remote, and gold seems overvalued relative to everything else.

    Gold and aggregate demand.

There is an opportunity cost of holding gold while you could hold another asset such as treasury bonds. When real interest rates rise, gold will probably go down because the opportunity cost will be higher.

    Gold and aggregate demand.

If we start having the CPI increasing wildly like the gold bulls predict, the fed will raise rates, thereby decreasing the price of Gold. The Gold bubble got crushed in the early 80's when the fed raised rates.

    Gold and aggregate demand.

No , what Buffet is saying is that Gold is way overvalued in relation to other physical assets such as land and the stock market. Why aren't gold bugs buying land? "because it is different this time..." "real estate prices have never gone down." It is a classic bubble.
