Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

That is what they all do: to make you believe they are nice guys and are they are so nice that they are helping you for free! when you are hooked then they will tell you if you want more , their price is.... This is thousand years old marketing technique, nothing new, but it has worked so...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

Looks like bone is preying on our newbie engineer who is not even a beginner trader, trying to corrupt him with "spread trades" ideas, get him hooked, then hook him into a "client" who will pay him $6000 every six months until his bank account is sucked dry by bone and by his losing trades...

May be you should report him to CFTC and ask CFTC to conduct an inquiry or investigation instead of trolling him?

Nah, I love trading too much to exchange it with anything else! I hate dealing with "clients", I hate being obligated to anyone but myself, I don't want to having had to answer to anyone, and only the solo-trading can satisfy these self imposed requirements of mine.

It certainly is a better business for those who are struggling to make a profit in trading to instead find 59 people to pay them for their "advice", because that's all gain and no risk. But if I am so good in spread trading or whatever you do, I wouldn't sell my "advice" for $6000 or whatever...

Sounds like a nice bluff ;) I had seen the same bluff from Austin Passamonte, also a vendor in ET, who solicited business in ET but who is too cheap to even register as a sponsor. The URL for that stunt: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?threadid=76506 Disclaimer: I...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

There is one thing that comes before the edge, discipline, and passion for trading, and that is attitude! Winners have winning attitudes, commonly refers to as "positive mental attitude", but that says nothing about what it really entails. Anyone who is serious about trading should have a...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

As I had said in my earlier post, the main reason people fail in trading is the mis-information: they mistaking the garbage and lies as valid market knowledge. That is not their fault, because there is virtually no valid market knowledge available anywhere, all the books and sources like...

You certainly have a passionate bias against all engineers, and your last post finally revered the source of your emotions (your passion against engineer). Does it ever occur to you that you are just exactly like those "engineers" who you "dislike" so much? A hint: you are just like...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

It's tough for people who are beginners who need the valuable information on learning in trading: you can't trust anyone, from my experience, of all the hundreds of books I studied, courses I took, seminars I attended, webinars I watched, and people I talked to, only two persons turned out to be...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

You are an investor then, not a trader. You don't even know what trader is so forget about it, you are city sleeker claiming to be a cowboy, that's who you are, admit it and get over it! Traders don't measure their performance against the performance of S&P 500, only the money mangers and...

Engineer looking to make a career change into trading (PART II)

You have basically stated that the reason you want to "try out" trading is because you don't like your engineering job. Well, that's perhaps as bad as those who chose trading because they want to "make a lot of money", both are very wrong reasons, and will lead to certain failure. If you...
