    "Scaling out" is inferior behavior

To scale out is like to trade 2 (logical) accounts at the same time - each with a different take profit level. If you do this for some time already, you can just calculate and compare how each account alone and the “ensemble” account perform.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

But you can see all these professions and woodworkers, oil painters (artists), blacksmith, beer makers, salami and sausage makers, bakers etc gathering on public forums discussing all the possible minute details intricacies and nuances and much more of their trades. Just Google it, it’s easy to...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Nice post. Interesting how fast it was buried under not very useful comments, after some good time of silence in the thread. About nysestocks, the guy called “the expert” sounds like him for me: https://www.trade2win.com/threads/how-to-trade-full-stop.87916/ I stumbled upon other instances of...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I don’t know what is the “official” obvious that is not obvious. But, I know 1 thing that is very simple and obvious but very hard to do and also is needed in all timeframes and most people will never know how to do it. Also, if told, people still will not make use of it and it’s hard to do for...

what is the maximum mathematically possible daily profit

Repeating the answer to OP’s question: Let "var" be the tradable (in a way that slippage and other factors can be disregarded) total percentual variaton of price in a given day, the maximum percentual daily profit is given by the formula: ((e^log_2((var*500/100)+1))-1)*100 For example, in a...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

And what is that? Everything that goes up, comes down? Or, nothing goes up or down forever? Interesting is that this idea is somewhat contradictory with “trend with the trend”, so maybe better to “trade with the trend”, but not too much, and take profit early. How early? Earlier than you would...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

The obvious that is not obvious is that you should take profit early. It is obvious but it is not obvious for obvious reasons: it is really not obvious!

what is the maximum mathematically possible daily profit

Even if I would be sure, I think I should not be attacking anyone, and I indeed did not do it. I just tried to answer a direct question and was replied that it was of no value - what may be true, but it’s an answer anyway.

what is the maximum mathematically possible daily profit

I don’t know the OP’s intention, but in my first answer I speculated a possible usefulness: it may show that it is maybe better to try to catch two small moves, keeping leverage, than a bigger one of the same size of the 2 small, everything else constant (including stop loss). But as I already...
