Wow this explains everything. So if I wanted to drive the price down on say the ES, all I have to do is place an order for 1 billion contracts at 50 points lower then market, or wait even better, 1000 or 2000 points lower. As long as my order is bigger than everyone else, it'll get filled...

The most annoying thing with trading ES on tight stops is the persistent notion that your broker is front running your orders.

You do realize the gravity of what your doing, even in a paper trading account right? At 100 contracts, that 1250 per tick, up or down. Assuming your scalping, if the es goes against you for even a single point that is a loss of 5000. Given the slippage and uneven order fills in real trading...

Ask yourself this: Is the situation described above any different technically then 2 individuals, one with a long and the other with a short position? From the brokers, and therefore market standpoint, theres no difference between the situation described and 2 individuals with different...

Nothing significant, but curious - IB TWS is showing different prints for LEH closing then all other brokers... IB showing 25.82 with think or swim/etrade/scottrade showing 25.81. Like I said nothing big but why would this be, maybe the sample data instead of ticks?
