hold the phone dude!! my daughter is in ROTC and when she EARNS her scholarship she will be entitled to NOTHING! she will have to earn what she gets, and work hard for her rank! and if she's definately not from a well to do family, our combined income is less then $55,000 per year

I'm reading a book by Suze Orman who attributes much of how we view or success or lack of it is determined by our earliest memories of money. he sounds guilty even though he worked HARD to get the wealth he's built. giving a girlfriend a lexus is part of the equation.

I'm not even trading yet, and I'm still in the process of learning the lingo. so some of the terms your using are a little are unfamiliar to me, but don't change anything, I like the challenge of deciphering posts. I'm learning, but I still feel like a contestant on the price is right trying...

good advice, the very first thing we're doing is putting away 6 months of household expenses in cash for a rainy day. I'll get a reading list together and start going at it :cool:

I have a good friend who day trades, he sent me here. I'm going to be reading quite a bit, and it will be a while before I work up the gumption to invest :cool:
