"The 6,000 share order was immediately filled by another market participant at a price of $9.127 per share"
OK. It's this market participant's stupid algorithm. Why it takes ALL 6000 shares? It is obviously their algorithm's error.
This is not manipulation, but obviously SEC thinks so. They are literally found the hole of other market makers/HFT, and make a profit on it. They are really market microstructure pros. If they can beat the algorithm, and the algorithm cannot detect the loop, it is the algorithms fail. Hmm...
Is shorting stock gains considered capital gains or income in the United States?
It seems to me that it is considered as income in Canada, but how about United States?
I am thinking to setup another one if income exceeds $500K. I think it should be easy for individual trader business.

If I send two REL orders to buy a stock with 0.01 offset amount, will my two orders compete each other? My observation is that sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. If they compete, how fast will Interactive Brokers adjust the order? Or Interactive Brokers can smartly know that the two...
You probably is right. I am not expert as I am doing my own research here. I think the tax system is set up in such a way that you pay the same tax in corporation or in individual. If corporate rate is less than individual rate, I think the difference is the deferred.
BTW, last year, my...
For tax purposes. Well, charging a tax rate at 50% on a million income is definitely the worst scenario. Reading the forums now and people suggests to set up corporations, and it seems that tax can be deferred in this way like RRSP.
